That answers my question. My local Kmart has the set with drums for $17 and I was wondering if it was worth it. Thanks.

On the bright side, the drum kit is great for DrumMania (that free drumming game for PC, see azuritereaction's vids of it)

I was in New York a recently and saw a full band set selling for $7.99.
One of the employees was buying it for a joke i guess. Im actually kinda surprised that they would have so much trouble selling it, to the point of lowering the price THAT low.
You would except at least some unknowledgeable people to buy it, thinking "oooh its rockband for 8 dollars! What a deal!!"

I actually did buy it yesterday after seeing it for $5 as a total impulse buy.

I gotta say, some of the features in Rock Revolution would be great in GH/RB if implemented correctly. I like how they let you fill in the songs solos with your own (too bad their solo system is absolutely horrible).

Other than that, its pretty much a horrible game. The covers are atrocious, the note charts are awful, the characters are as exciting as a block of swiss cheese, and the challenges requiring you to memorize pieces of a song is near ridiculous.

If you have $5, pick it up just to feel bad for Konami and Zoe Mode, but other than that, don't expect a revelation in guitar music games.

At least for Superman 64 and E.T. they've reached the point of infamy that they may be worth purchasing by collectors. Rock Revolution for $5 is just a plain bad buy.

E.T. is actually a good game if you know how to play it... this cheap cash in on the music game phenomenon is total garbage.

so is it still really not worth $5? I know it wouldn't worth $10 when it was on sale at best buy last time, also wouldn't worth $8 something used from gamefly, but $5? should I save my $5 to download Rock Band tracks?

What happens if I only have a penny - do I get change on that or does Best Buy keep the 1/100th of a penny?

I upvoted you simply because of the fact that you managed to get a cent symbol in your comment (although I think you did that wrong b/c the game will never be .99 cents) :)

When I was there today, I saw it and was very tempted. I actually took a picture of it with my camera phone and saved it as my background image. There were rows and rows of it, unseen since the Halo 3 Beta (With a free copy of Crackdown) at Gamestop.

The only good feature about this game is it had 'Paralyzer' by Finger Eleven.

The note highway is horrible... 2D and the notes eventually look like they run in together. GAH!

I didn't buy this game, but I'm ashamed to have it in my game collection.

Nah, they only had two masters in the game "Paralyzer" by Finger Eleven and "Given Up" by Linkin Park (this is an awesome track btw). The rest were god-awful covers.

$4.99 at my BB store, too...AND they still have the red 30% off stickers that we had put on them when they were still $19.99. A guy asked me if he could have a $4.99 copy and still get the 30% off. Since we're still stuck with about two dozen copies of it, I figured any chance to get rid of one was well-worth it.

Still an awful lot to pay for a drink coaster, tho.

come on guys, it is useful for something! you can buy it for $5 and give it to a person you don't like (assuming they have a PS360)! if they don't even have any instruments, EVEN BETTER! it's like saying "screw you!" and kicking them in the balls without having to waste the physical effort on them!

The cheapest game I've seen in the shelves gotta be Get on da mic for the PS2. They had tons of it... It was selling for 10 pesos at the local walmart. Note: 10 pesos = 0.75 USD

A couple of months back they were giving away the full band kit at FYE. By "giving away" I don't mean selling it for some crazy-low price I mean free. You mailed in a rebate sheet and bam! Free shite game. Sorry folks but to get those crappy Playschool sort-a-shape style plastic instruments into my house they would need to pay me.

Toys R Us has $5 games quite often. Hell I got Batallion Wars 2, Pinball Hall of Fames: Williams (PSP), Facebreaker [360] (actually, come to think of it, I might not have actually bought this one, but it was $5), and Lost Planet: Colonies Edition (360) all last week for $5. NiGHTS on the Wii dropped to $5 as well, but my local store didn't have any copies. Hell, they've had multiple copies of Space Chimps on the 360 for $5 for months.
