Super Star Wars (LucasArts, 1 player, 800 Wii Points) We say: Find $8 and cram it into your Virtual Console
Look, guys, you could head down to Toshi Station and waste time with your friends buying power converters or you could enjoy one of the finest titles in the SNES library. Go back to a time when MidChlorians never existed and just have fun with Super Star Wars. You won't be disappointed!
Every week, we like to check out what's new on the Virtual Console. We offer these videos as a sort of taste to help you decide whether or not you would want the game in question. We also toss in our own two cents because we're pushy jerks.
Don't remember exactly which Stars game it was on the Snes, but if you had a game over, you'd see Emperor Palpatine's face and he'd just laugh at you for failing...MAN, the first time I saw and heard that I nearly crapped my pants! But another SNES star wars game had Yoda say "Do or do not, there is no try" which didn't scare me....as much.
I don't recommend this game. I somehow got stuck with it, and couldn't get passed the one boss in the hover-craft where there was no safe spots until you took out two of the guns. Then you still have to worry about the other two guns. I never could do that.
The cartridge for my copy is only god knows where, probably in a box in my parent's garage. So I rebought this game, and nastogia'd soooo much! I loved this game 15 years ago, and still love it today! I didn't notice all the flaws when I was younger (like how the game BARELY resembles the movies, Luke does like NONE of the stuff in the game in the movie). The speeder sections are still annoying, but I LOVE this game!!
