No mate, that's just a protective cup.
Everybody knows that male American athletes take too much Steroids and therefore they don't have a penis anymore.

I guess I understand the reasoning, a Mexican player to appear to the Mexicans... then an American for the American fans but I don't understand either.
Blanco and Sasha pretty much suck.. this is the 2nd year in a row where when there are dozens of better options for that Mexican/American pick they went with two mid level players. Why not Donovan, Dempsey, Altidore, Tim Howard?

I only mentioned them as candidates to replace Sasha (an American) you fool. I say that because typically most Mexican players run hot and cold with fans and I'm out of the loop as to which ones are getting bottles and other garbage thrown at them and others are being worshiped.
Also they suck? Howard is arguably one of the best goalies in the EPL.. Donovan has the most goals in US history and continues to be a force, Dempsey is hugely improved and embodies every the US team is, and Altidore is one of the brightest young players in the game (strength+skill).

For me it would of been right to have Clint Dempsey and Tim Howard as they both had brilliant seasons in the Premiership last year!

Madrid sucks man. They had a poll for who to sign and everyone wanted Iniesta. Manchester City gave Messi a blank cheque and he rejected. While players like Kaka, Benzema, and Ronaldo leave their old teams for money. Messi and Iniesta are truly loyal to the club that they played for since childhood. Anyways Madrid doesn't play as a team and you have so many stars that it will be tough to have some of them be substitutes and not starters. Also there is bound to be serious ego problems on that team. Even with Ronaldo, Kaka, Alonso, and Benzema how many goals will you score. Barcelona beat you 6-2. Next year they will beat you 8-6 even if your stars socre, now that we have Ibrahimovic.

2k doesnt make a soccer game. Its EA vs Konami with a random crappy game thrown in from other companies every once in awhile.

I like the choices, but I agree with many that someone else would be a better choice than Lampard. I would personally say Landon Donovan, only because every American soccer fan has to know who he is.
But ROFL at Jason Bateman.

Tim Howard would have been an EXCELLENT choice. Sasha was a bad choice. Two bad players and then Lampard who isn't exactly football royalty here. Messi, Rooney, Ronaldo, Henry, etc. Hell, just give us the Euro cover. I liked that one a bit.

Lampard, though a very talented player in Europe can't have much exposure in U.S.A (being from England I obviously don't know if this is true). Mainly because Chelsea have only won the F.A cup last year, and prior to that was Mourinho who won a trophy for them. Surely someone from Barcelona or Real Madrid would have been a better choice given their popularity.

Although Football is the most popular game in the US but the producer wanted to grab the attraction from all over the world by launching its great graphic game for its followers..............

Yeah I think they should have put Clint Dempsey, Landon Donovan, and Blanco on the cover for the North American cover, that way all the players on the North America cover are from North America

I think they used Lampard cause he they had already taken his picture for the European cover. From the other cover Rooney is probably the most popular, but his picture wasn't that good.
Odd choice for the chivas usa guy. Is he that popular in the US?
Oh, and Blanco, even if you hate him, is one of the best Mexican players ever.

I like how people can say that USA doesnt care about soccer but when Chelsea, Milans, Barcelona were here playing at the Rose Bowl this past month, 90,000 people showed up to watch each game. Soccer is being thrown down Americas throat and you are going to like no matter what. Plus at least you get to watch a game without commercials stopping play in the middle of a half or every 5 minutes. Your kids will love soccer and you wont be able to do anything about it except go watch their game.

The term "soccer" originates in England as a shorthand for "association football". There are tons of sports called some variant of "football", which game gets called "football" without a prefix varies from region to region and generally depends on which game is dominant in that region. Gridiron football is just "football" in Canada and the US because of its popularity. Hockey is similar, I've heard Brits call field hockey just hockey, but over here "hockey" is ice hockey.
In any case, MLS is terrible and none of its players should be on the cover of anything. I don't know anyone who is serious about soccer who watches it except when there are no other games on TV. Even then, they may just watch something else.

Not all soccer fans in America actually care about the American team or MLS if you haven't already noticed during the Meadrid and Barcelona tours in America this year.
