According to a Twitter update from Obsidian regarding its upcoming stealth-em-up RPG, Alpha Protocol, it's possible to complete the game without killing anyone. The tweet failed to elaborate on why someone would choose to play through a spy-action game without killing anyone (but you can bet there's some kinda reward in store for the apprehensive player) and also whether or not it's possible to clear the game without maiming, disfiguring or severely bruising anyone. Frankly, given the nature of the action-spy business, we don't see how that would be possible.
The "no kill" challenge has been posed before, appearing in other stealth titles like Metal Gear Solid and even the straight action-oriented Mirror's Edge. In fact, it would be kinda strange if Alpha Protocol didn't allow players to finish the game without killing -- it's become a requisite for the genre, after all.
Well, however you decide to tackle Alpha Protocol, at least there's some sex in it for you, right?

Yeah, but not killing someone the whole game in Mirror's Edge was easy because they gimped the shooting apsect so bad that there was no point in trying.
If there's an achievement for not killing someone the entire game I'll go for it, otherwise why in the hell would I be a spy and NOT do it?

Trust me, on my first play-through on the hard difficulty and second overall of Mirrors Edge, picking up guns was a GODSEND. I actually had an easier time beating it on Hard than I did on Normal.

I went for the highest difficulty available for my first run, and never shooting anyone (you could still kick them off buildings) was difficult at certain parts of the game. Going through the game on the hardest settings & being able to use guns was a breeze.. as the game just became a shooter towards the end stages..

In Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, you were scored on each mission. Any fatality that wasn't a mission objective (i.e. assassinate some guy) counted against you, as did alerting anyone to your presence. It was a real challenge (but a lot of fun) to get a perfect 100% score on a level.

Well I like that because its something different rather then what splinter cell did with the whole here is gun shoot people, In reality how many real spys have you heard of killing everyone?

It's not different at all, to be honest. Splinter Cell allowed players to play any way they wanted, but due to the scoring system implemented in the later games, if you wanted 100% (like another poster said) you couldn't kill anyone. The Xbox version of Double Agent even gave you a certain amount of ammunition each mission depending on how you played (More lethal weapons for the JBA and more non-lethal tech for NSA).

Well way back with Thief 2, with the exception of the main bad guy, it's not only possible not to kill anyone, but NEVER GET SEEN. To truly beat it, you had to "ghost" the whole thing. Crazy hard but possible. That was the late nighties. If anything, we've gone backwards.

yeah stealth action games that force you to kill is a step down from where they started.
one of my favorite game series is the ninja game tenchu where the whole point of each stage was to get through without being seen or killing anyone (or stealth killing everyone)
of course i tend to play other games in the same manner, like halo 3 for example, i have actually stealthed my way into the enemy base and sat there for like 3 minutes before waiting for everyone to stop respwaning for a moment and run off before jumping forward grabing the flag and hightailing it back to base
yeah i like stealth games way too much

You might like Battlefeild Heroes then. It's still a buggy beta with only four maps, but the commando is a hell of a lot of fun to play. Most set their commandos up like a sniper, but I got for their stealth abilities. You can get points for capping flags alone and never have to engage anyone. I main as a gunner, as I like the ability to head butt tanks to death too much.

What kind of spy lets people live? I'll be head slamming everyone to death in interrogations, let alone normal combat.

This should be a cakewalk. I always liked performing No Kill runs on stealth games. Did it on the MGS series, so, there won't be much different here.

aren't there upgrades you could use after you beat the game once considering that those weapons/upgrades transfer to future playthroughs?
if so stealth/speed/defense augments may make that more in the realm of possibility

As far as its difficulty is concern it is more adventurous and tough in normal version rather than hard version but i think it is more comfortable for the gamers in Xbox as compare to PS version i dont know why but Microsoft really wants to beat Ps b a great margin............

We all knows what happens when Spies try to resist harming someone, they end up killing them in some over-the-top awesome fashion.
Just look at Jason Bourne. He doesn't want to hurt anyone. But every time he gets in a fight, he goes apeshit!
