Command & Conquer 4 screens full of tiny units, XP

EA has released some new Command & Conquer 4 screens, which, while bearing a passing resemblance to previous titles in the venerable real-time strategy series, do offer a few glimpses at the gameplay changes EA has in store (like persistent player progression). Just try not to be bummed about the severe lack of Kane in today's Command & Conquer 4 post, okay?

Time to install generals again...

Ah, the good old days of massive 4 legged death walkers equipped with rail cannons. How I've missed them.
(By the way, I've never seen the big deal when it comes to your planet being covered by a perfect renewable resource.)

I suppose the last bit is a joke or isn't a reference to tiberium

Last night I was listening to the latest GiantBombcast and Jeff Gerstmann was saying how he was at first skeptical of a new C&C game, but has come to be excited for it after hearing from the developers directly.
That information is probably useless to most of you, but I took it to mean something. Hopefully they can do the series justice with this new installment.
And if not? Renegade 2.
Heard it here first.

Man, I'd love to see Renegade 2.
The first got so much hate, was I the only person who thought the multiplayer was years ahead of it's time?

In C&C 3 I felt like I was in a helicopter shouting orders with a megaphone to half-deaf units, not really an upgrade from the responsiveness of SupCom. But this looks very promising.

*sigh* Ever since EA took over Westwood the series has gone downhill. Not saying what EA did was bad because as a RTS I did enjoy C&C3 and RA3. What I didn't like was how they treated the story and game as a continuation in the series, and the general feel of the game wasn't like the originals as much... Now this is just branding more then a actual sequel :(
