I really hope someone picks up TimeSplitters and doesn't ruin it. It looked like shit, played like shit, its story was mostly shit, but damn it I loved every second of every one. You don't see many lighthearted FPSs these days, and its a shame.

It didn't play like shit. It was average, gameplay-wise. However, some of the weapons were quite creative.

TimeSplitters 2 was great. I don't know what you guys are smoking. That game was the second coming of Goldeneye hands-down. Future Perfect on the other hand...not so great.

Well, the loose accuracy was mostly what I meant. But other than that the gameplay was, as you said, average. Future Perfect still, to this day, is one of my favorite games.

Timesplitters look and played great, it’s just that people for whatever reason can’t seem to digest any sort of first person shooter that fails to present a gritty, realistic world of non-descript bald men who waddle slowly around a series of interchangeable, hyper-linear levels and use a large assortment of identical machine guns and sniper rifles to repeatedly shoot at various generic industrial aliens or terrorists or alien terrorists or whatever.

Oh, fuck that. I honestly prefer 'Splitters to the likes of Halo and such.

And Cortez is bald and fairly nondescript, so there you go.

From developing on one of the most difficult platforms and failing to developing on one of the easiest. I guess there shouldn't be any excuses this time around.

From one of the best console FPSs of all time to Facebook games. Tragic. Even iPhone app development would be above Facebook games.
