tweets that if the upcoming
Wolfenstein manages to surpass sales of
Madden 10 this month, he'll happily pay you back for the money you spent on his game. Of course, there are a few stipulations:
- Offer only applies to sales in August
- NPD figures will be used to calculate the totals
- You have to follow Manveer Heir on Twitter
- Limit one copy per person -- with receipt!
Obviously, there isn't a snowball's chance in hell of this happening, but we'd be lying if we said we weren't crossing our fingers for the little nazi-killing-sim-that-could to tackle the gridiron giant.

That doesnt make sense, people still do play CoD4 so what the fuck does that have with anything? Im also loling that you think WaW had no innovation but act like MW2. And Treyarch doesnt = Infinity Ward, but the CoD 4 engine with WW2 weapons and jungle is pretty much the same fucking thing.

Actually if you would bother to compare the graphics of World at War and COD 4 you would see that the graphics are NOT the same. There is a pretty big difference. COD 4 looks a whole lot cleaner. World at War looks dirty and blurry. And they don't use the EXACT same engine. IW gave them (Treyarch) an incomplete engine so they had to code some stuff on their own. Which I'm glad they did. Because IW has the better game. At least for me, World at War would not really be fun if it had no dismemberment. Thats the only really fun thing about WaW. The dismemberment. But COD 4 is more fun and it doesn't even have dismemberment. I don't know how its more fun but it is. And I played through most of WaW's campaign and some multiplayer so its not like I've never played it. COD 4 is just a better game all around.

i didnt find CoD 4 to be clear, it just looked plasticy to me, especially grass and trees which WaW did loads better. I guess it's to each his own, but they're still way too similar for one to suck but not the other. I for one prefer WaW because faux excitement from a real better is more fun than not even faux excitement from a fake one, and i find the WW2 weapons make things more even

Madden will never be outsold, there are a lot of people who only buy 2 games a year now (Bros), Call of Duty and Madden. I hate those type of gamers. They are the ones who if u dont have any of those will say things like " dude why u playin that gay shit, lets play Madden" or " YO! I gots that new Call of Duty!!!"

I've already got this pre-ordered. At EBgames they are doing one of those "try it for a week" things. If you don't want to keep it within 7-days you can bring it back for a full refund, but I'm pretty sure it's all store credit.
I'll more than likely hang onto the game. Say what you will about WWII shooters, but Wolfenstein was a big part of my FPS addiction when I was younger. Plus I want a game that offers me the occasional MP40, but I really do not feel like buying W@W.

and why not may i ask? the multiplayer is just like COD4's multi, except bigger maps and 97% of all players are scrubs. it's insanely fun to just kill them over and over and watch them rage quit the match.

W@W is a fine game. I was in the multiplayer beta. It's just not what I'm looking for. I found myself still getting a lot of life out of CoD4 and didn't really see a need to buy W@W. That doesn't mean the game is bad, and neither is Treyarch.
Just personal preference. I enjoy playing it over at my buddy's house.

What's is with the hate towards W@W? It has a lot more content than COD4,the campaign is pretty badass too and the online multiplayer is excellent as well.

the difference is that madden comes out every year, with minor changes. i wouldn't call the changes between COD4 and COD:WaW minor. nazi zombies, WAY bigger maps, tanks, squads, and the biggest change of all, a world war 2 setting.

in COD4, the skill level of players is more balanced since it's mostly the hardcore players who are still playing it. in WaW, like i said, 97% of all players are scrubs. so it's way easier to get kills if you're halfway decent.
summed up:
good in COD4: 1.05+ kill/death ratio
good in COD:WaW: 1.30+ kill/death ratio

i agree with nathan, CoD seems to be more about turning corners and spamming the trigger faster than the other guy, more so than something like CS even. It was fun for awhile but then i jsut grew to hate it

I wouldn't be surprised if there are more restrictions than that probably with in certain territories.
