Oh, and the entire album can be yours for the reasonable price of nothing. Yeah, you're welcome.
Stop what you're doing and listen to the Nintendo Mixtape

Doing yard work? Put down the rake. In the middle of intense litigation? Drop it. Giving birth? Hold it in. Whatever you're doing, you need to stop right now and listen to the Nintendo Mixtape. Created by New York hip hop group, No Question? (warning: MySpace link), the Got Game? album sets all of its tracks to mixes of 8-bit Nintendo music and phat beats. And it's awesome. We suggest you start with "Double Dragons" -- we've embedded its video after the break. For those at work, keep in mind that the video and some lyrics are a tad inappropriate. That said, if your boss hears this and does anything other than give you a promotion on the spot, he has no soul.
Oh, and the entire album can be yours for the reasonable price of nothing. Yeah, you're welcome.

This would be way cooler if it was just the classic theme music remixed. I like the music but all that rapping over it ruins it for me. You got me way too excited after reading the write-up, Joystiq.

Yeah. I wouldn't mind the rapping if it was rapping...

This is horrible. I mean, I guess it's alright if you like Hip Hop and stuff, but for those with a bit of taste it's just torture.

There's a difference between good hip hop and bad hip hop.
I haven't listened to this enough to know which it is, but there is certainly very good hip hop out there.

Anyone who thinks they don't like hip hop from the stuff they hear on the radio should check out Aesop Rock.

So by taste do mean you only listen to Chopin whilst drinking fine wine? Or do you mean it takes taste to listen to all the other genres out there that millions of other morons like you listen too? Genius comes in all flavors and hip-hop is just one of them, dont hate cause you can't/won't/don't understand.

sounds like you've communicated your amount of taste perfectly, slim.

I did not understand what they were saying, nor what the video was about, nor how Double Dragons fit in there.
Besides those ape-men. They were okay.

I love chiptunes so I definitely appreciate the beats they made. "Kabuki" turned out to be my favorite track and- surprise it has no rapping on top. I don't like hip hop too much. Its ok but I do find it really funny how put-together the whole culture has become.
