Street Fighter IV joystick phone straps push our buttons [update]

Japanese phone strap retailer StrapyaNext just started accepting pre-orders for the most awesome cell phone accessories ever (next to the Hello Kitty/Space Invaders charm, of course). These tiny joysticks, in Ryu, Ken, Dhalsim, and Chun Li versions, play Street Fighter IV voice clips in response to the correct button command.
For example, if you input down, right, and punch on the Ryu Real Voice Action Cell Phone Strap, it will play "Hadouken!" The same movement on the Dhalsim charm will play "Yoga Fire!" And then you can tell the person you're talking to on the phone that you need to hang up because your close, personal friends Ryu and Dhalsim have arrived.
These straps, limited to 1,000 each, will also be sold at the Ikebukuro Tokyu Hands shop, and at the Tokyo Game Show, for ¥1,260 ($13).

What do you mean 'NOW'. Japan has been downsizing everything for years to match thier......egos (seriously, never met an egotistical Japanese person *phew great save*). You can probable get a Micro Meal at McDonalds featuring a shot-glass of coke, 5 chips and a burger SMALLER than the ones found at KFC.

Both buttons should be for hadouken and shroyuken. It's the only way to play Ryu!
(Somebody post that flowchart, please?)

If that was a real Ryu SF4 joystick, the red button would be the Shoryuken FADC cancel button and the yellow one would be his Ultra.

I'm not sure if beating someone mercilessly with this controller would be more humiliating for them, or the player beating them.
Blank-Mage @ Aug 12th 2009 6:02AM
Oh, wait, it's just a sound thing, with no functionality. Way to read the article, Blank. You are credit to team.

The ikebukuro tokyu hands shop is an awesome department store dedicated to hobbies. I found a lot of phone charms, figurines, hobby supplies, gunpla, anime goodies and a lot of other neat stuff there. I still use a Mazinger-Z keycap bought from the store a few years back. There is also a place across from the store that sells huge pieces of takoyaki, and each piece comes in their own little takeout box.
Great place, wIsh I could be there for the release.

This is the winningest win that's ever won the tournament to be the winner!

Actually, you can only pre-order at Tokyu Hands and they'll be shipped in the first week or so of September... you can buy them directly at Tokyo Game Show.
Kind of a let down for me, since Ikebukuro is just one stop away.

This is what I needed.. when I was living in Japan, I got a cell phone thing that just had a picture of one of the fighters that you'd press, and it'd do a voice sample. Trouble was, it was WAAAY too sensitive and it would play a voice clip if it just pressed against something lightly while in your pocket. I was stuck with E.Honda (they were randomly dispensed) and I found it all too often playing the 'Ooh-hoy' sound clip when I walked past girls. After a couple experiences like that, I got rid of it.
Yan @ Aug 12th 2009 4:06PM
I very much prefer the cheap $1 sound drops I picked up at a Gashapon machine last time I was in Akihabara.
