EA has announced that Rios and Salam's latest outing, Army of Two: The 40th Day, is headed to the crowded Q1 2010 quarter, specifically January 12 in the US and January 8 in Europe. It's a good time to release a game, really. Look at every one of these other games doing the same thing!
The press release also mentions a pre-order bonus for the game in "Extraction," a multiplayer mode available to those who pre-order The 40th Day. Everyone else will gain access one month later.

Seriously, we tell you spammers every damn day to GTFO and you still come back.
What is it gonna take, us travelling to whatever disease infested armpit part of the world you live in and driving a crowbar through your face?
GAH!

Enough games get pushed back into 2010 and I'll just have to release Peace Walker early.
...Or will I?

2010 is going to end up being the next 2007 for gaming.

As much as I hate when games get pushed back, I much rather have a playable game at release than a game that needs to be patched over and over.

Yes! I wasn't the only one! No one I saw it with had any idea what Army of Two was so they didn't get the connection.

Half this stuff will get delayed even further so as to not crowd Q1. Seriously, we have enough games coming out this fall. I am totally fine with the spread out of the AAA games.

oh so instead of the preorder bonus you could also wait a month, buy the game cheaper, and then get the dlc for the same price or maybe even cheaper?
smart.
smart.

Here's the truth in how I see this Q1 delay bruhaha.
Q1 2010 is listed by all of these developers and publishers to assuage you, the gamer. If you've been gaming as long as I have, you know that saying in August that a game is to arrive in January (which is half a year away, consider that) means it'll come out within 4 months or so of January. Hopefully.
Sue me, the one game I'm most looking forward to in 2010 is Aliens Vs. Predator. Sega lists it for February 2010, but I'd be damn surprised (and delighted) to play it any time before April or May of next year. Considering that the elevator of pushed games is getting very crowded, I'd maybe even say some of these "Q1" games could perhaps not see the light of day until Q3 2010 or so. There are just too many delays, plus there are games none of us are even aware of yet that'll join the 2010 roster, too.
Moral of the story: assume the worst, hope for the best. That way you're not upset later.

can somebody make a short list of decent games that is already postponed to Q1 2010?

I think at least these are postponed to 2010 (not necessarily Q1):
Splinter Cell Conviction
Ghost Recon
Red Steel 2
Starcraft 2
Bioshock 2
Dark Void
Bayonetta
