mhm Doom 64 would be a godsend!

But I'm content with Doom II for the time being.

Yep, and its also the game you can kill John Romero in. xD

Can't wait for this, especially if its priced at 400 like Wolf 3D and Doom. :)

And PSN is left out in the cold again. Is it my fault I like to see regular dollar amounts on games instead of Microsoft Funny Money (tm)?

I hope they decided to release this on PSN.

normally i would agree with you, but you can EASILY get this game online for free (or payed) and play it on any computer in the last 10 years... so this is one game that isn't bad to have as an exclusive

now if a game like MvC was exclusive, you would see me set fires

Yeah, I've got it on the PC, but sometimes it's nice to play an HD version. Especially with a DualShock.

Does anyone really want to see those old sprites in 3d, though? LOL

I mean, I hope they revamp the sprites and textures, otherwise it's just going to be really... ummmm... nostalgic.

+1 8complex

i thought i was the only one thinking that nowadays. If anything, Bionic Commando Rearmed showed how its supposed to be done right. The original game should be a bonus in-game achievement.

then again some games should stay 2D, like fighting games.

I would rather have "Microsoft Funny Money" for a console then really money because you cant buy real money on ebay for half the price. :)

Hunt down a copy of the Collector's Edition of Quake IV for the 360. The second disc has Quake 2.

We heard about this way back when the original was first released on XBLA, good to see it's finally coming. For 400 points, I'm definitely in.

I never had a PC that could play anything good until after Doom 2 was old so I never played this. But playing older FPSs now almost hurts... I'll probably let this one pass...

God that last episode of Doom was nigh impossible. On the first level you're already dealing with Barons of Hell and you've only got a pistol. Sheesh.

About time!! Let's have widescreen support this time too. Yes doom 2 is on the doom 3 collectors edition, but it's not online multiplayer, has overly sensitive controls, no surround sound, and no custom soundtrack support. I prefer to play doom with my own hellish ambience as opposed to the rubbish 16 bit music. Can't wait to get it.

Why, why, why, why, why? Congratulations Microsoft, you've become a successful gaming platfo-- oh wait, I mean to say, a successful recycling plant. What's going on? Appearently people are retarded and still playin this crap. Encouraging this garbage. It costs idSoftware and all the other companies very little, to post this and then they make a huge junk of money by barfing up the same old crap over and over. Get with the program people. We want new and fresh inovative stuff. I guess that's where Sony comes in. Man, I hate Microsoft.

I bought the original Doom trilogy (which excludes Doom 3) way back in the day and have basically played it on everything I've owned since, so I'll be passing on this. Still a great game though, a definite classic. I'd like to see the other Doom games ported, though, specifically Doom 64 and Doom 3. I know they weren't everyone's cup of tea, but I'd be willing to grab them, especially if the Doom 3 version was based on the higher-res PC version rather than the original XBox game.
