Uncharted, SOCOM Confrontation going Greatest Hits on August 16

According to a recent Sony press release, two more best-selling PS3 titles are getting the ol' "Red Box" treatment. Beginning Sunday, August 16, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation (sans headset) will reach "Greatest Hits" status, dropping their respective MSRPs down to a reasonable $29.99.

Fans of the SOCOM series will likely be thrilled about Confrontation's markdown -- but every self-respecting PS3 owner needs to have Uncharted in their collection. Now that you can make that happen with just a Hamilton and a Jackson, you've really got no reason to go without.

Man... you should see the platinum boxes we get in Europe.. Yuck!

thanks it is about time and now uncharted will be in my collection.
2 years after uncharted release.

socom without a headset is not worth $ 30 IMO as most of the time the game could already be found for that price..

and socom is not a greatest hits game, but rather a big let down that became a clearance item.
what game has become a greatest hits less than 8 months after release?

10/14/2008 --> 08/16/2009 = 10 months, 2 days

And it has sold over 700,000 units in North America (not including downloads), so it IS a Greatest Hit.

You may think it doesn't deserve to be one, but it has qualified.

um yeah 1+ million sold should always be the standard for greatest/platinum hits caliber game, it is only sony who has lowered their standard.

and wow 10 months... lol..
