if they did this people would start to wonder why they can't just update the roster every year through a patch instead of a whole game. if they do this, it could bring an end to their whole operation.

Since Madden has been online enabled, you have needed updated rosters to play online.

You do understand this guy killed the dogs that lost? Or do you know realize what dog fighting entails and the ethnic group that typically is involved? I feel sorry if you think my mere comment was ugly.

Most dogs are hung or drowned. Think about that.

Media frenzy. Nobody gave a shit about dog fighting until Vick did it. Most of the populace stopped giving a shit when he went to jail.

"Oh my god he did dog fighting? (sounds of dogs fighting in the background) thats so inhumane I can't believe anyone would do that! (sound of dogs dying and people cheering) So terrible and unbelievable! I'm glad hes in jail now, I can sleep"

If anyone truly cared about this, the ASPCA would be funded up the ass and could actually make a national impact on situations like this (and others of course). But no, a NFL star did it, got media attention, went to jail and everyone was like "oh, good, that's over with. I'm glad dog fighting has been put to a stop". It wasn't on the evening news anymore so - out of sight out of mind. Pathetic and lazy on OUR part. Vick should have known better than to fight dogs, Plaxico should have included a gun holster in his 'gun touting in da club' budget, and Brandon Marshall should stop hitting his wife. What are we actually doing about it?....

Remember the preacher dude from "The Boondock Saints"? He said the most evil of evils was the indifference of good men?

Yea, a millionaire got fined millions and that was enough justice for most people. I agree, most dog fighters punishment would not even come close to Vicks. When it comes to celebs it becomes a case of the person and not the crime. Again, I agree. Vick was a FUCKING MILLIONAIRE. He should have known better, he didn't, and now I bet he does. But I bet you he is the only dog fighter in the world that stopped dog fighting that day. I bet you next time Plaxico carries a pistol, he'll read the manual to find out what the fucking safety is and that its recommended uses don't include bouncing around your pocket at a club, but other club goers wont give their unchecked weapons a second thought.

My point is, unless people as a WHOLE do something, shit won't change. As long as we keep judging peoples morality on how well they can throw a football, this type of event, whether it be beating your wife (x2), shooting yourself (hahaha HA) or dog fighting, will become trivialized. And whos fault is THAT?

Michael Vick, the NFL, and anyone who commits or supports, or defends someone who commits or supports animal cruelty, deserve absolutely zero respect.

Michael Vick is a horrible person for what he did. I can't believe EA is even considering putting him in. I mean, have you seen the pictures? So, so terrible, how could he do something like that?

What Vick did was terrible, but if EA took every athlete out of Madden who committed terrible crimes such as drunk driving murder, sexual assault, wife beating and rape just to name a few. They wouldnt even have enough players left to fill teams!

Kinda sad though that ur lil tag name is making a mockery of slavery, yet ur bashing vick. Yes sweatshops are a form of slavery.

OK, let me ask this. Fighting and Killing animals is not okay but
Hitting and Killing a human is perfectly fine. Really, think about it
Vick killed dogs yes and all together his time was 2 years and he paid
millions only because they knew that he had those millions but if it
was someone else, your average person he wouldn't get charged
millions. Stallworth hit and killed a human because he was driving
drunk. He only did 20 something days behind bars and he can't play
for 1 season. Think about it, a football season is not even a year
its only like 6 months so stallworth did 6 months and 20 something
days while Vick did about 2 years. Makes no sence to me. Whats the
difference between a killing a human and killing an animal?

That last comment was obviously a joke, so I'll ignore it.

First things first, Donte Stallworth is a moron, and will regret what he did for the rest of his life, you can bet on that. Anyone with as much money as he has could have easily prevented that tragedy by paying for a cab/limo/friend to drive them home. And I promise he will never ever forget what he did.

Secondly, not to defend him, what he did was an accident. He did not intend to harm anyone, let alone kill someone. He did not set out that night to get drunk and drive and murder someone by running them over.

Michael Vick funded and assisted in maintaining a dog fighting ring. They planned fights, purposefully tortured those animals.

In our society, we believe that acts that are done by accident shouldn't treated the same way that pre-meditated acts, and thus Donte Stallworth walked away with less than thirty days in jail and a one year suspension, and Michael VIck served two years.

In addition, not to justify Stallworth's small penalty, there was legal precedence.

I fear the day when one of you make a grave judgement call.

Don't take this as a religious statement but have any of you ever heard of forgiveness and repentance? Ok, I'll give it to the angry ones...Vick is a "vile" human being and deserves all the bad things in the world for his act in your opinion. But what happens when/if a person is changed and is truly remorseful for their actions? We have no idea what's going on inside that man's head. Probably never will in the age of PR reps.

I'd hate to be FOREVER judged by my past mistakes that I've grown to learn from and to correct. I just think a lot of the hate towards Vick is deep rooted and I won't dig deep into the history of that because I'll open up a big can of worms. Yes, it's racism related but it's not the simple "Vick's black" argument. It stems from whites back in slave days placing pets higher on the totem pole than blacks as an insult. It was a social condition that was so deeply embedded into their culture that it may never be reversed.

Vote this comment down if you'd like. Just make sure you read some books afterwards.

I'm not sure why people think he'll be any good in the NFL. He was already a god-awful QB when he was in football shape (71 TDs and 52 INTs, career QB rating of 75.7), and now he's been in jail for TWO YEARS! I don't care if he worked out twenty hours a day, he was not running plays with the inmates or studying playbooks or looking at game film or working on his throwing mechanics or footwork or any of the myriad other things that an NFL QB would've been working on. So I hope he's rated no higher than 69 in Madden, because that's about what a second-rate backup QB should be.

HOLY FUCKING CHRIST! When the HELL did this become a public forum about whether Vick should be allowed to play, or whether or not killing dogs is worse than killing humans? Comment on the freaking story!

In my opinion, if Vick is back in the NFL, put him in Madden! Every other NFL player (in the NFLPA) is, so why should Vick be left out?

I agree with Chester, you take out everyone that did a crime and the 90s Madden for Dallas would really just be Smith alone. This better be free cause I don't plan to pay EA for last call add ons for a game I won't keep that long.

unless you are a hardcore vegan, shut the f**k up about animal rights.
have you seen where your food comes from?
unless you raise your own animals and kill them humanely, then you are eating unhealthy, tortured, hormone injected, virus soaked animal meat.
screw PETA too
