For eight years, you've been toiling away in Dark Age of Camelot. You've been picked on by all of those jerks playing World of Warcraft or other MMOs. Well, EA must appreciate that loyalty, because the company has announced that it's made a pair of new expansions free for all players. Titled Darkness Rising and Labyrinth of the Minotaur, they'll automatically be installed in an update the next time you boot up the game.
For those of you who haven't seen Camelot and just how dark it's become in recent ages, EA wants to get you back. As such, it has announced an initiative that will allow players who have since abandoned the title to come back and roam Midgard, Hibernia and Albion for free for up to ten days should they log back in and reactivate their dead account.

Halving the subscription fee and letting everyone play SI-era DAoC (with a pre-Catacombs client) would bring me back to the game a lot faster than this would.

People still play DAoC? I tried EQ last week, thinking the nostalgia would be enough to get me back into the game I spent years playing. I was wrong.
Aion is great... it may be time to move on people. You can't fly in DAoC.
