Not really, she's a pretty headline character, she was a big part of Civil War, Secret Invasion, the Avengers books, her own book and loads of other stuff. Pretty much all comic characters besides Spidey, Batman, Superman, Hulk and a few others are so obscure they might as well be Vermin or Atom Smasher to the "New Madden Brah!" game buying public

not really, she has a new comic out right now, right now Moonstone took her idenity saying she's the real Ms. Marvel along with the other Dark Avengers, Venom is Spider-man, Bullseye is Hawkeye, Daken (wolverine's son is being him) and the Green Goblin stole Ironman's armor and became the Iron Patroit.
Dark Avengers is awesome, I love the fight with Morgana Le Fey when the sentry ripped her head off!

i enjoy Bullseye/Hawkeye, he's pretty sweet, in one of the new Dark Wolverine issuses, Daken made a joke about bullseyes dad molesting him and he threw an arrow threw his shoulder

This game has a horrible roster of characters, most of them are recycled from the first game, a few of them you can only get from pre-ordering, and I think we can safely say, you'll have to buy the vast majority of new guys in DLC packs a week after the game is released.
I absolutely refuse to give Activision money for this, when they're quite clearly holding back content, and I really hope nobody falls for this :(

oh joy, everyone's favorite character from the first game. =P I found her power-set incredibly nondescript and was really hoping for someone fresher as the final character-reveal.
As excited as i am for this game, i find the character lineup more uninspired than i'd hoped it would be... I think you can count on one hand characters that haven't been part of MUA or XML series. I know i'll still play it and love it but i hope they dig a bit deeper for the DLC (Cable? Hank Pym? Hercules, even? they were big parts of the civil war storyline)

Ms. Marvel was an important part of the Civil War storyline. She had to be included.
