The sad thing?
I bought Blue, Gold, and Sapphire. I did buy FireRed and Diamond, though.

You people are ridiculous. Everyone knows the manliest of men wear Pearl necklaces and tiaras inlaid with Emeralds and Crystals and have HEARTS. ON FIRE.

Emerald was the best, so long as you didn't buy one of the knock-off carts from EBay.

I vowed never to buy another pokemon game. I promised myself. I said, LATS, you can't buy another one of these.
And I thought I could do it. I thought Nintendo couldn't do a damned thing to pull me back in. It's all clear to me now, though. Nintendo had a plan. They purposely put those faulty save batteries in the G/S carts. They knew that we couldn't resist.
Where can I preorder?

Ya know...those faulty batteries in those packs is EXACTLY why I hated Gold/Silver/Crystal...
(And most of the retarded Pokes in Johto--looking at you Furret!)
But I'll give it a shot again.

Yeah, after being fairly disappointed with Pearl, I traded all my Pokemon games in and promised I would never buy another one. Then they announced this. Bastards.

No, they simply neglected to realize that if you're keeping time 24/7 for 7 years, the battery is eventually going to croak.

The batteries in both my Gold and Silver versions are both still active. I can still save and everything.

Pokemon Heart Gold Soul Silver Shamrock Platinum Square Sapphire
You know it's going to be awesome when you have to use buttons from a PlayStation controller and playing card suits just to spell the name.

Really guys? Your all totally psyched to respond to this question with this answer:
"Hey what game are you playing?"
"Oh I am playing Pokemon HeartGold Edition!"
"What edition?"
"You know theHeartGold edition, the manlier of the two editions!"
"We are no longer friends..."

I'm shocked. No, not that this game is coming out over here, Nintendo does love money, and every Pokemaniac and their Poochyena is going to buy this. I'm shocked that they actually announced it this early. Usually they wait a couple months after the Japanese release to announce the localization.

Houndour would be more appropriate in this situation.

I've played them all and I'm 20. I was only into the cards and stuff around age 10, though.

I'm 21 next week and I just plowed through Leaf Green a few months back. I originally stopped at Gen II because the number changing was just too confusing in addition to adding a ton more Pokemon.
That said, they still hold up as decent RPG's and have a lot of depth if you're willing to look for it.

I'm 19 and I've played through all 4 generations, though Iif you were to show me the pictures of every pokemon I could name maybe 350 of them.
The 3rd generation was the worst for game play and the 4th generation was the worst for new pokemon (so many stupid looking evolutions to old pokemon)

I am not quite 20, but I have played all of the games and I pride myself in the ability to name all 493 pokemon without a guide.
Yes, even Politoad and Farfetch'd.

You would think by this time, the battle sequences would have been a little more upgraded. It would be nice to see the Pokemon actually attacking each other. Instead they still jump in place and flash when they get damaged.
Golden Sun for the GBA had more impressive battles than this. Heaven forbid the kids see Pikachu get kicked in the face.

Nintendo's all about that animal rights crap. Apparently a digital image of an imaginary creature that slightly resembles an animal has rights too.

Hold on, if it's about animal rights... then what about the stadium games?

What do you suppose they'll call Pokemon games once they run out of elements?
