Nintendo also announces that they like money.
Regardless, since silver was the best game, I may pick this up.
Look At This Suit @ Aug 14th 2009 2:34PM
Everyone knows the cool kids bought Gold.
Rhamsey @ Aug 14th 2009 2:36PM
Wait what?
Red>Blue, Sliver>Gold, Ruby>Sapphire, Red>Green, Diamond>Pearl.
I hate to say it, but its fact.
Look At This Suit @ Aug 14th 2009 2:38PM
The sad thing?
I bought Blue, Gold, and Sapphire. I did buy FireRed and Diamond, though.
Rhamsey @ Aug 14th 2009 2:41PM
LATS, where the hell were you when I needed to complete my dex?
KeenCommander @ Aug 14th 2009 2:59PM
Crystal > all.
Tiptup300 @ Aug 14th 2009 3:14PM
I bought red and gold....
that's all.
Moptimus Slime (The Innocent Ace) @ Aug 14th 2009 3:31PM
I've bought Red, Gold, Crystal, Ruby (which is better than Sapphire AND YOU KNOW IT), I think I bought Emerald but I cant find it, FireRed, and I plan on getting Platinum in the near future and Heart Gold when its released
Jester Bee @ Aug 14th 2009 3:41PM
Stop the arguing since keen already gave the ultimate answer!
Ashkental @ Aug 14th 2009 7:49PM
You are all equally sad...
WINterfang @ Aug 14th 2009 11:22PM
Everybody knows the G/S/C Pokemon where the worst.

Abebe @ Aug 14th 2009 11:29PM
It's kinda strange that you're saying that, considering how similar your username is to the name of the main character of a certain animated series...
WINterfang @ Aug 15th 2009 12:42AM
^ Huh?
Backslash @ Aug 15th 2009 5:44AM
You people are ridiculous. Everyone knows the manliest of men wear Pearl necklaces and tiaras inlaid with Emeralds and Crystals and have HEARTS. ON FIRE.
HotLimit @ Aug 15th 2009 12:33PM
Emerald was the best, so long as you didn't buy one of the knock-off carts from EBay.
Look At This Suit @ Aug 14th 2009 2:34PM
I vowed never to buy another pokemon game. I promised myself. I said, LATS, you can't buy another one of these.
And I thought I could do it. I thought Nintendo couldn't do a damned thing to pull me back in. It's all clear to me now, though. Nintendo had a plan. They purposely put those faulty save batteries in the G/S carts. They knew that we couldn't resist.
Where can I preorder?
religiousjedi @ Aug 14th 2009 3:30PM
Ya know...those faulty batteries in those packs is EXACTLY why I hated Gold/Silver/Crystal...
(And most of the retarded Pokes in Johto--looking at you Furret!)
But I'll give it a shot again.
Uncontrol @ Aug 14th 2009 4:34PM
Yeah, after being fairly disappointed with Pearl, I traded all my Pokemon games in and promised I would never buy another one. Then they announced this. Bastards.
Donald @ Aug 14th 2009 6:33PM
"They purposely put those faulty save batteries in the G/S carts."
No, they simply neglected to realize that if you're keeping time 24/7 for 7 years, the battery is eventually going to croak.
Espiownage @ Aug 14th 2009 8:26PM
The batteries in both my Gold and Silver versions are both still active. I can still save and everything.
iSkelly87 @ Aug 15th 2009 2:50AM
LATS i actually was crazy enough to buy one and fix the battery issue -_- didnt finish it thought but ive been waiting for them to do this anyways
Archon (PSN: Archonik, XBL: DarkARHN) @ Aug 14th 2009 2:34PM
And Europe. It was announced for Europe as well... You know... Europe... the huge continent... Anybody?...
Rhamsey @ Aug 14th 2009 2:38PM
Isn't that where the zombies are going to come from?
Archon (PSN: Archonik, XBL: DarkARHN) @ Aug 14th 2009 2:40PM
No, that's Scotland. That's hardly Yurp.
zombiejesus @ Aug 14th 2009 2:50PM
nope wheres that? is that near south america?
captain underpants and the bringdown gang @ Aug 14th 2009 8:23PM
I can see Europe from my house.
Marty @ Aug 14th 2009 2:35PM
Pokemon Heart Gold Soul Silver Shamrock Platinum Square Sapphire
You know it's going to be awesome when you have to use buttons from a PlayStation controller and playing card suits just to spell the name.
MarkHawk @ Aug 14th 2009 2:38PM
Worst names ever?
Russ W. @ Aug 14th 2009 3:30PM
I agree with you pal.
MarkHawk @ Aug 14th 2009 5:13PM
Really guys? Your all totally psyched to respond to this question with this answer:
"Hey what game are you playing?"
"Oh I am playing Pokemon HeartGold Edition!"
"What edition?"
"You know theHeartGold edition, the manlier of the two editions!"
"We are no longer friends..."
Storm Eagle [Resident Capcom Megafan] @ Aug 14th 2009 2:39PM
My pokemans. I'm not showing you them.
Dragod @ Aug 14th 2009 2:46PM
You selfish bastard...
Gibbeynator @ Aug 14th 2009 2:39PM
I'm shocked. No, not that this game is coming out over here, Nintendo does love money, and every Pokemaniac and their Poochyena is going to buy this. I'm shocked that they actually announced it this early. Usually they wait a couple months after the Japanese release to announce the localization.
Look At This Suit @ Aug 14th 2009 2:46PM
Houndour would be more appropriate in this situation.
Little Pete 1 @ Aug 14th 2009 2:42PM
Oh snap. Pokemon who's names I actually remember!
Nerdy Desi (formerly Chin-Poh, Ninjakamster) if anyone gives a damn. @ Aug 14th 2009 2:45PM
I gotta ask, anyone here in their early 20s still play Pokemon from when they were kids 10 years ago? I still only know about the original 150/151 Pokemon and now there's about 450, holy crap!
Alton Brown [Planeteer | Power of Dueling Banjos] @ Aug 14th 2009 2:49PM
I've played them all and I'm 20. I was only into the cards and stuff around age 10, though.
Zerokku @ Aug 14th 2009 3:17PM
Yup, Been playing since my original red cartridge (Though I skipped out on 3rd gen). Though to be honest, I wouldn't bother anymore if it wasn't for competitive battling online. Fun stuff.
waynski1457 @ Aug 14th 2009 3:24PM
I'm 21 next week and I just plowed through Leaf Green a few months back. I originally stopped at Gen II because the number changing was just too confusing in addition to adding a ton more Pokemon.
That said, they still hold up as decent RPG's and have a lot of depth if you're willing to look for it.
Moptimus Slime (The Innocent Ace) @ Aug 14th 2009 3:39PM
How could you guys skip Gen III? Those were the best games!
Wardo @ Aug 14th 2009 4:25PM
I'm also 20 and have been playing them since I was a kid. That being said, Gold/Silver were by far the best versions.
KaBob799 @ Aug 14th 2009 5:06PM
I'm 19 and I've played through all 4 generations, though Iif you were to show me the pictures of every pokemon I could name maybe 350 of them.
The 3rd generation was the worst for game play and the 4th generation was the worst for new pokemon (so many stupid looking evolutions to old pokemon)
Magma @ Aug 14th 2009 5:51PM
450? Sorry, that's wrong. There are 493.
Captain MRLN @ Aug 15th 2009 2:05AM
I am not quite 20, but I have played all of the games and I pride myself in the ability to name all 493 pokemon without a guide.
Yes, even Politoad and Farfetch'd.
Storm Eagle [Resident Capcom Megafan] @ Aug 14th 2009 2:45PM
You would think by this time, the battle sequences would have been a little more upgraded. It would be nice to see the Pokemon actually attacking each other. Instead they still jump in place and flash when they get damaged.
Golden Sun for the GBA had more impressive battles than this. Heaven forbid the kids see Pikachu get kicked in the face.
BrokenTriforce @ Aug 14th 2009 2:48PM
Nintendo's all about that animal rights crap. Apparently a digital image of an imaginary creature that slightly resembles an animal has rights too.
Rob S. @ Aug 14th 2009 2:56PM
NO MORE POKEMON ABUSE!
James @ Aug 14th 2009 10:00PM
Hold on, if it's about animal rights... then what about the stadium games?
N3M3515 @ Aug 14th 2009 2:46PM
Way to break the mold Nintendo.
Ghen @ Aug 14th 2009 5:26PM
Seriously.. When is pokemon going to update beyond SNES zelda graphics? And don't get me started on the gameplay...
I'd love to buy a new Pokemon game if it wasn't the same damn game every time.
