1 vs. 100 statistics, upcoming events detailed

The first season of the Xbox Live game show sensation that's sweeping the nation is drawing to a close -- if you've yet to check out 1 vs. 100, Microsoft is pulling out all the stops during its last week on the air (August 22 - 29) to try and suck you in. Among the attractions is a free chance for Silver subscribers to try the game out during its last weekend run, and guest appearances by Shadow Complex creative director Donald Mustard, GamerchiX, Major Nelson and internet nerd darling Felicia Day.

Microsoft also released a number of statistics regarding the game's success -- more than 2.5 million people across the globe have downloaded 1 vs. 100, and more than one million Microsoft Points have been handed out to the game's participants. None went to us, though. We tend to crack under interrogative pressure.

I wonder what the success rate in the questions has to be.. I have 81% success. I really want to be on the mob at the minimum. No one i know has been the one or in the mob either.

This is a great game for me and my wife to play. Only played a few times. But have always had a good time!

I'm curious to see if they end up charging for this.

I have found this a fun game to play with friends or family if an episode happens to be running, but I would not pay a fee (on top of Gold membership) to play this game.

doubt it. there's significant in game advertising and so far they've said it would be free. granted, i'm not assuming that microsoft is suddenly giving anything away for free nowadays, but i really think that if they start charging for it, no one's going to take the bait and the game'll go bust VERY quickly.

If I remember, MS was waffling a little when pressed about the issue of subscriptions and it had become unclear if we were going to have to pay to play.

that's too bad. i wouldn't pay for it, and don't think anyone else will either. i'm happy to pay for a gold subscription because i find it to be well worth the value, but if they try to make me pay more on top of that, it's definitely not happening....and at the point where they have advertising dollars in the game, then it just becomes insulting.

I was in the mob 3x before they released points. I'ma kinda disappointed now.

Same here. I was in the mob 3 times in the Canadian only beta and twice in the US one. Only after the points were given out, ZERO, But honestly I just don't play enough extended play to make the cut anymore. Real life can suck.

First two weeks - fun times

Next few weeks - Starting to get irked by not being picked, despite a 1 million+ score, but still fun to drink with mates and make fun of the avatars/argue over the questions

now a days - fuck this, I'm never getting picked.

They should separate shows for each time zone to increase odds and cater to one's time zone. I live on the east coast and have a job, so i can never stay up for those 11PM gamer or movie night themed shows. Also, yeah, I'll never pay for this.

I like the time zone idea!!

Haven't played it at all and don't plan to. A gold subscription is too expensive...

When you make below minimum wage, you see how much you can afford.

If you're a grown adult and make below minimum wage, you're officially worthless and brain-dead IF youre concerned about modern console gaming.

I'm sorry but unless you're fresh off the boat from another country washing dishes for 50 cents an hour you can probably afford $50 a year, it's not like you're paying bills if you make below minimum wage and manage to afford an Xbox 360. But hey I could be wrong, technology is so advance I wouldn't be surprised if Boxes could get electricity by now.

I was put in the mob the very first time I played!
There was like 20 in the mob left and on the easiest question I totally hit the wrong button and cracked under the pressure. The guy won a ton of MS points...

I didn't even know this had gone live with the prizes and suxh. I played the hell out of the beta. I'm still working too much and can't participate anyway. *tear*

I think its still in the beta but now they're are pirzes. I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure.

They really need to have this on later for the people who stay up late and play games, even on work nights. The early cutoffs (even on the weekends) is really annoying. Why doesn't this run 24/7? I don't get it.

I did actually manage to win 400 spacebucks and copy of Braid (which I already own, so that did me no good).

I didn't win any future money, but, I too, nabbed a copy of Braid, which was awesome because I was one of the 9 people who didn't own it before.

What a great game that anybody can pick up and play. The best part it's a free game for Gold members with Silvers having chances to try it out for free and chances to win real life prizes. Fun for every one. I'm looking forward for more games like these. Jump in.

Xbox 360 is an amazing console. Everyone should get it and shit on their other consoles. It has Teh Haloz and Teh Gearz and everything else you could want. Its great to be a tool. Jump in!

I've only tried it out a couple of times, but it's fun. A good way to put off some time when there's nothing better to do. The 5-7pm timeframe is pretty much perfect for this sort of thing, I don't expect to get into the mob, let alone win anything, but it's fun just to answer some of the questions.

Looking forward to more free dashboard games like this in the future.

Lately I haven't been able to play this at all. Every time I go to download it, it says currently not available which is really dumb. When it used to work though it was real fun.

I got in the mob once, but the ONE got the 1st question wrong, I didn't get jack, and then it booted me back to the waiting area and me me JOIN again.

So is something coming to replace 1 vs 100? Why is it going away?

I'm surprised sometimes how pathetic the One can be. IMHO, Skill is not much of a factor in being selected.

i dont think a beta should count as a 'first season'. ive enjoyed 1vs100 so far but the odds of winning any prizes is pretty slim, i doubt ill purchase a season pass if they start charging for it..

I can't wait to see what the other Primetime games might be, although 1 vs. 100 is pretty much the only perfect game for this type of venue.

I'll care about the guests when they fix it so I can, ya know, actually hear cashman and said guest.
