Oh yeah, because like everyone else, I have massive amounts of free time during the workday to just hang out here day constantly refreshing Joystiq, or twitter, or facebook. The giveaways are sweet, don't get me wrong, but doing them through twitter, which I don't (and don't care to) use sucks, as well as posting them one shot after the next, why not spread the love around over the course of the day a bit more. And what is the point of following Joystiq on twitter just to see what's going on here. Isn't that why you have this site? Check one website to check in on another one, what a strange circle that is.

Twitter I just dont get it , I joined it then sort of thought "ok what now?" and its mind numbingly boring . Why would I be interested in what someone is planning to do for the day . Im sick to the back teeth of hearing minor celebs like Jo Whiley , Chris Moyles banging on about it . then people say things like "oh but Stephen Fry is so great la de da " .
It reminds me of those sad morons on Facebook who constantly change their status to stuff like " Im off into the bathroom to change the loo roll " I am not interested.
Its really cheered me up to see so much hate for Twitter on here , it seems to be for the media types so therefore they are the ones talking it up all the time for their own self benefit . I knew you Joystiq readers where made of better stuff.

Why is joystiq advertising twitter? cause thats exactly what you're doing here. Advertising to your readers to head over to twitter and leave your site. It doesn't really make much sense to me. I know twitter isnt a direct competitor to this site, but really I still dont see the point.
