Remedy's Sam Lake shows off Remedy's Alan Wake

Remedy writer Sam Lake narrated a video presentation of Alan Wake at gamesCOM, providing the most detailed look we've seen yet at the psychological thriller. We see Wake realize that his wife is missing, and begin the undertaking of piecing together the manuscript that he doesn't remember writing, and whose events are coming true. Lake discusses the role of the game's light sources, which act as shelter and weapons against the shadowy, possessed townspeople.

We're delighted to see this much of Alan Wake. By revealing this much footage, Remedy seems to be treating it like a real game that, in fact, "is done."

I always thought Alan Wake was a cancelled ship simulation game.

First of all, you have no idea what your talking about, if DVD space was that limited, then Remedy, wouldn't of made Alan Wake for the Xbox 360 (they would of partnered with Sony if that was the case), also they are partnering with MS, and they have very amazing compression technolgies, to say that they forced to utilize a DVD is complete bullshit, they can put the game on more than one DVD's if they wish, but like I said, MS have some amazing compression tehcnolgies.

Now, onto graphics, 90% of Xbox 360 games graphics, look good or even amazing, e.g. Gears 2, Crackdown, Forza 2, etc etc, if these games where all about graphics do you think these games would sell? A: NO

Games need to have good gameplay, to make people want to play it all the way through.

And if you want better graphics, you don't buy a console, you buy a PC, or in my case you build a PC.

Now, heres the other thing, the game isn't even out yet, and you most likely don't even have a Xbox 360, so your basing your entire thoughts on a game which isn't even out yet, even though you don't have a X360.

I was looking forward to this like 2 years ago when i first saw the trailer with just the town and background but after seeing the new stuff at E3 i'm really not interested in it as much. It seems dated now.
