Last time I checked, Marvel's own digital comic service didn't offer new releases, so I doubt the PSP version will either. And that stinks. Who wants access to only the older catalogue and not the latest issues? I guess we'll find out in a few months.

Yeah :) About the only announcement from the press conference that means anything to me. I'm very excited about the opportunity to have digital comics from so many different publishers on my PSP. This is sweet.

This sounds cool, I really want a PSP Go. Everytime I see them I find more reasons to get it. Even with the price tag

I'm hoping this think will also read ebooks (pdf, txt, lit files), not just comics.

That was the implication, but who knows if it will ever happen.

I'm skeptical about this until they can promise recent releases. I fell for the Comics app for my iPhone with the same promise, only to find their selection of Walking Dead was only the first 5 issues of a series that is currently mid-60s.

Major bummer.

If Sony can get Marvel, DC, etc. to put up the weekly issues of comics digitally and concurrently with the store releases I can see this generating a bit of profit.

Why wouldn't they also release this on PS3? It's just static content and a reading application. I'd want to view on my large TV not on a 3" screen. Might as well go with print at 3" resolution.

Yeah. I mean, obviously there will be zoom functions and such, but comics on a PSP screen just sounds like an exercise in frustration.

Well when you're on the go, 3" isn't bad. Do with what you've got.
