I could have deduced that on my own with the sackboy avatar.

I'm serious about the first part though. Why buy a game for $60 and then spend another $40 or so to play a nearly identical game. Games like this is why I have a hard time answering critics of psp saying it's just a system for ps2 (in this case, ps3) ports.

Well firstly, not everyone has a PS3, idiot.

There's really no excuse not to have a ps3 by now, but I still expect to hear the excuses and sob stories pouring in even with the price cut.

This seems like an incredible waste of $40 to me, and I would have said that even if I liked the original LBP...since it's the same game.

Because I have a 360 and a PSP but not a PS3. That's a GREAT reason. It's also how I got to play God of War.

That's a lazy excuse. Since you have no desire to get a ps3, you have no desire to play LBP, so that means you don't care about this either.

Don't care. LBP is awesome. Can't wait to play my PSP again. LBP and GT5PSP baby. My New PS3 Slim ordered. Now.. only if I want to play my Wii. what a waste that was.

it's NOT the same game though. it has different levels. it's only the gameplay that's the same.

I have to want to spend $300 or $400 for maybe one or two games I'm interested in? Sounds like a bad investment to me.

I prefer 360's catalog of games and exclusives over the PS3's so it only makes sense that I may enjoy a portable version of the PS3 games I can't otherwise play at about 1/4 the cost of a PS3.

Makes perfect sense to me, but your blind devotion to your system of choice must cloud your understanding.

It has different levels....that can all be created with the level creator. Totally worth spending $40 extra.

My sister likes playing LBP but since the game and PS3 are mine and I live in school, she has little time to play it, she doesnt want a PS3 because well she a girl so THIS game well suit her well, since right now she is deciding between a DSi and PSP(because of LBP)

That's sony's problem. If they want to take away potential ps3 customers and switch them to psp then they should keep doing things like this.

Because the PS3 and 360 libraries are almost identical. If you already have a 360, there's not much reason to buy a PS3 as well.

One thing I seem to not see on this whole discussion (read argument) is that it would be hella inconvenient to take a PS3, portable power source, TV, and LBP with you anywhere you went. I think this, along with the amazing game LBP is, is why they would make a portable version. Call me crazy.

really tmac? maybe some people like having their favorite games on the go. Maybe, I have a level I want to create, but I'm not home, or I'm on vacation, or away at college, or on a train or WHATEVER. I can just whip out my PSP and play LBP on the fucking go. that's the whole point of portable systems. it'll expand the userbase, and maybe persuade people who don't own a ps3 to buy one....you're being quite an ignorant guy right now.

My God this is a ridiculous argument. I have both a PS3 and a PSP. Tell me TMac, what am I supposed to do during road trips when I want to play LBP? Luckily I have a decent amount of free time at work, my PSP is perfect for this, and so will LBP. What about when I'm getting tires put on my car and I'm waiting for an hour? I could go on and on. Just because you can't understand the practicality of a portable LBP doesn't make it a bad idea.

tmac if you dont care for the game then who cares. i for 1 have not bought the game yet and have not much interest to play yet. i do plan on buying the game when it eventually gets a $ 30 greatest hits tag....

i can understand putting the game on the psp though. it seems like a great and popular casual / creation game to put on the psp to offer a greater array of psp games.

im sure you were like me and were one of the many who would say the psp has no games, well buddy the psp has games and the library will continue to grow over the years. yeah i do not have as much to choose as with my ds, but what handheld console will run a ps3 quality port ?
now you complain on the type of games the psp will offer? give it a rest ever?

I have a PSP. I don't have a PS3. There is only one PS3 exclusive I like... LBP. So I am expected to spend $300 for a system to get one game for it? That, my friend, is not an excuse to buy a system... that is just plain idiocy. They release one on a system I own, of course I will buy it. But you can't say that there are more than enough reasons to own a PS3... some of us can't afford all the systems. Some of us can't afford more than a game every month or two. There are plenty of games worth grabbing my attention on other systems... there are no reasons to buy a PS3 for some people. So they should ignore that money base? The PSP is a separate system, and I'm not gonna bitch about a game or two that the PS3 has that I can't play... but of course I will buy them for another system if given the chance. Now grow some balls and stop bitching about a game you are not required to buy. Deny it all you want, but you just feel if you had to spend all the money on your systems, you want everyone else to, and if they don't, you feel they shouldn't get all the games they want to play. Love how some people just live off of making bringing the world down with them.

If this isn't enough for you to see the difference between a PS3 and a 360 then you are fucking blind. The PS3 has clearly the best line-up, which is appealing to a broader audience. All the 360's exclusives I can think of are about shooting: Halo, Gears, Splinter Cell, Mass Effect, Shadow Complex... And besides, most of them are available for PC, whereas the PS3's games aren't. Out of the 3 consoles this generation, the PS3 is the one most worth owning, in my opinion.

But who am I kidding, I know you will fail to understand any of the points I made and ignore them all.
