That's it, PSP GO is totally worth $249, in the good way.

I assumed it would be a $40 PSP game, especially being download only. I guess they're charging more because it's GT?
Of course, the unfortunate thing is that now that we are into the era of digital distribution, the system will cost you $250 period. There's no selling off the game when you're done with it or didn't want it in the first place.

It's coming out on UMD unless Sony doesn't want those with PSPs right now to buy it.
I thought this was for Europe or UK only from what the liveblog said.

And bearing in mind the MASSIVE mark up the PSP Go has in Europe, all this is doing is making it ever so slightly more attractive.
I'm still not getting one. £250? You've gotta be kidding me, you can get a Wii AND a 360 for not much more than that if you look in the right places.

It won't matter too much if they can convince PSP Go is worth the price. Remember, Sony's expecting to make massive profits on sales of the Go, so I doubt they'll be crying too much.

I guess this is how they make up for the PSPgo's price tag.

So if you but a PSP that cannot actually play any games or movies you get a free voucher for. . . essentially nothing.
Yeah I am keeping my PSP that I can actually. . . . you know, put games in. The PlaystationPaperwieght Go can in deed go. . . in the garbage.

Huh, thanks for confirming that Sony is releasing a new portable gaming handheld that can't play games- at all. I did not know that.
On a side note, I'm wondering if the PSP Go! will increase piracy on the system- downloadable games can't be too hard to crack.

Add a 16GB Memory Stick to your equation and try again.

Wait - Sony STILL hasn't released GT for the PSP? Holy crap. I could swear that was a teaser title at PSP launch, over 4 years ago. Glaciers move faster than that GT development team.

I kinda wish that they would just drop the price 40$, so I can pick up Gran Turismo for 10$ on Goozex.

It really should have a UMD drive. Then I'd consider buying it.

Yeah, but only the PSP-3000's screen is bad because of its interlacing and pixel structure, so that only leaves the 2000, which has bad ghosting. The PSP-1000's screen is even worse than the 2000's, from what I hear.
It's a no-win situation.

Solution: Login using a European account, download the GT theme, put in the code for the free game, login using your US account and boom - you have it for free, in the US.
