Looks sick!

Can someone explain to me why exactly he would snipe one guy, instead of just shooting the rocket first/blowing up the tank?

It seems to be online, if he can take at least one of the three kills, why not do so?
Unless the campain actually shows peoples names over there head.

well you see after the one guy gets sniped, the two americans standing there turn their attention towards the snipers direction allowing the red hatted guy to get the jump on them

If the Americans are multiplayers an not NPCs then its quite unrealistic.

Who would be standing around just having the craic on an online match like that?

If the game looks, feels and plays like this looks we might have a Modern Warfare 2 rival.

It's a shame more people didn't play the first one. I feel it rivaled the first Modern Warfare in some ways and I always alternated between the two.

I don't know, I didn't like the first one's multiplayer and story was ok not great but not horrible. Could have been a bigger show but not horrible by any means. Good starting point. I just think more than one shooter is hoped for this time around.

Bad in what way? MW isn't COD3 or COD:W@W. BF:BC was just too PC or out of control for me I guess.

Oh man, absolutely, that seems like the biggest problem all battlefield games have. This one seems to have it the worst though, especially with artillery and laser guided bombs, seriously, they are made explosive so you dont have to be spot on, that's the whole point. The worst thing though was how you could turn a corner with an M249 SAW and unload on a guy point blank and have him not take damage at all, then you watch his model aim away from you and 1 shot you with a pistol.

Splash damage in general is way weak. Grenades in a lot of games don't even seem to hurt you past 10 feet away while according to Wikipedia because I'm too lazy to find a better source says that the current grenade used by US forces has a "casualty radius of 15 meters"

If you played Battlefield 1942 in its later years you would find that way too many people had mastered grenade throwing, making it very difficult to accomplish almost anything in that game. It's probably best if grenades remained nerfed or even non-existent in multiplayer.

i dont think anything is worth getting on Games on Demand, im positive you could get it cheaper used. But yeah it's one of my favorite multiplayer games ever, it's one of those games where after playing it for awhile everyone will have one of those awesome stories like "i hid in a crater and planted demo charges on a tank that rolled over me" or something, definitely worth buying.

Right there wish you Dark Wayne.

I was playing one time and was on the one level with the huge field in the middle and the farm at the other end...Well I was hiding in some bushes in the field up against a tree just sniping people as the stormed our base. One guy ran up and sat right next to me and still didn't even see me. Needless to say, he didn't last long.

the exact thing happened to me on Oasis! I was hiding in the bushes on the right side of the river, like really hiding so that leaves would be in my scope sights, and after sniping 4 guys a team of snipers tried to track me down i saw one of them look directly at me before I got him right in the barrel of his own gun. Right after I start getting hit and I run away from my spot to realize they were friendly fire shots that accidentally hit me instead of a support gunner who had been standing right next to me, so i stab him in the back, run to the little hut there, pistol kill a guy then see a tank and hide in a little artillery crater and watch the fucker drive over me! One of the best experiences ive ever had in a game. I did something even more similar to yours on the farm one too, basically it was the same river sniping tactic and around half their team was snipers that would line up at the fence in the middle of the farm and i just killed them over and over!

BF:BC was about 25 bucks at gamestop used a few months back. So it's not too bad of a deal on XBLM.

Dudes - now you've really made me want to fire that bad boy up again.

The multiplayer is really good except there are only two modes. The single player is pretty awesome. It's the only FPS I've played with memorable characters. Except that Irish? guy from COD4. And, well I'm not counting Bioshock.

Bad Company's story was great, but the multiplayer component proved to be far more popular. This trailer for the sequel is clearly geared towards the MP crowd.

I'm hoping the SP for BC2 is just as good.

this is multiplayer video not the campaign, I'm sure it'll still have its share of LOLs even if they are making the multiplayer all serious looking.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but if the sequel lacks the humor and light-hearted theme of the first one's single player; I will be sorely disappointed. I like the multiplayer too, but the single player campaign had such a refreshing tone that I really enjoyed.

Watch the first two ads that are linked in the article. This is more multiplayer focused, which is all action and, unless you're on that sort of team, involves much less humor.

I'm right there with you: the single player campaign stood out because it didn't take itself too seriously and provided the player with humor. I too will be disappointed if these elements are missing from the sequel, but I highly, highly doubt that will be the case. To do so would be akin to building a bridge and, upon finishing, deciding to swim across the river instead!

That was a pretty cool trailer, but seriously what are they thinking? The Humor was what made the first one unique and great? I guess these are all multiplayer centric trailers so we can only hope singleplayer ones will still be funny. Did anyone else notice how the sniper had demolition chrages? I hope that isnt how it'll be in the game, i loved using the laser guided bomb things : (

There are customizable kits now, so you can choose C4 but my guess is they're still keeping the laser designator. No official word on that yet.

I loved JDAMs (laser bomb) too. Before they nerfed it, a trick was to aim empty vehicles and steer the bomb onto manned vehicles. Your real target had no idea of what was coming.

In this video the squad leader uses a beacon designator. The BF:BC also had it, but it's almost never used...

I've seen this trailer a few times now and it never gets old.

And yes guys, this trailer and the last one are all in the multiplayer. This one is showing Conquest, which is like Capture-the-flag, and the last one showed Gold Rush(or just Rush), where you have to Attack/Defend crates.

The trailers were being called "Squad Stories 1/2" by DICE, so I think after they do the Squad Stories they're gonna start showing Singleplayer trailers. They said the story would be more serious but it'll still be the same characters, meaning there should still be plenty of humor.

You can in the first one, it requires two people to work together. One to TAG the vehicle with a tag gun, the sniper in the video does this IIRC. Then anyone with a rocket/RPG can track the target. The problem is that very few online know or bother to do so.

I'm on it. Pre-ordered the first one after playing the MP demo on Live. The campaign was way too easy, but still fun. When else have you been in a gunfight on a golf course?

Loved the MP, but I could never get anyone else to pick it up and you know it is better when playing with friends.

As an added bonus for me, I know what I'll be doing on the night of my youngest's first birthday...
