Remember when those first videos from Battlefield: Bad Company started coming out -- the ones that featured that game's four mischievous protagonists riffing on other popular first-person shooters? Yes, well, comparatively, this new trailer for the game's sequel is decidedly lacking in the lulz department. Unless, of course, you find well-placed sniper fire and other forms of gun murder absolutely hee-larious.
Still, while not as jovial as the first game's promotional material, this trailer for Battlefield: Bad Company 2 does have it's merits. For one thing, it looks pretty rad, which we guess makes up for its humor deficiency.

BF:BC is the only game I bought for the 360 AND the PS3. Hell, any game this good for $20 is tough to pass up. The destructibility sold me. In the training when they teach you how to use the noobtube, I mean grenade launcher, I shot one through a window It went out another window and cut down a tree. That and the JDAM rocked. The "1 in a Million" achievement is a blast to get. This is the only Xbox game where I got all the SP achievements, and most of the MP.

Game looks pretty good. Hopefully it is improved over the first one though which I didn't like too much. Building deformaton is always sweet though :D

They're still keeping the humor, but the trailer is in multiplayer where you won't really find much humor. They havent showed that much of Singleplayer yet but it's gonna be the same 4 guys as before, so it should still be hilarious.

I loved the first game, except when it lags too much. Man the trailer was great, especially when the Russian officer stood up in front of the Abrams... And then the sniper with the laser designator at the end... Funny stuff there. Almost as good a trailer as that last SWTOR cinematic.

No, I was referring to the last portion of the trailer, when the Americans were converging on the Russians and the players' names began to appear. I was not speaking of the Russian sniper who handed the officer the C4 detonator, but the scoped image after that. Two separate events. Trust me, I've played Bad Co. so much that I'm pretty familiar with all the weapons. I think I know what I'm talking about. I apologize if you misinterpreted my comment.
Anyway, great trailer, love all the new features coming. From what I've heard, I simply can't wait. To have any form of class/weapon customization would be great. The new vehicles are going to be awesome.

Oooh was that blood I saw? Sweet. It was kind of lame that there wasn't any in the first game. I'm not sure if I'm buying this yet. Probably not until I can find it for cheap. The first one was just too much of a letdown as far as the destruction went.

I just wish they'd make a damn PC game again. Battlefield 2 was the best game I ever played. Is there word of a Battlefield 3 for PC?

No Battlefield 3, but you could just buy BC2 for PC, since unlike the sequel it's coming out on PC as well as the consoles.

Wonderful. I love games that can simulate warfare with a balanced gameplay.
(As opposed to games like RE2 and CoD, where you have "soldiers" running around shooting for the lulz and pointz, for "military" reasons.)
