I agree it looks good; However, I am somewhat discouraged that they simply borrowed the title directly from the Divina Commedia just to have brand recognition. It is, in my opinion, a shameless way to plug a game.
Couldn't they call it Dante of Inferno, or something. =D

I am very impressed with this game. It scream polish and makes great use of the material. If anyone has followed the dev diary, you can see the guys have put a lot of passion into the game, and haven't done lip service. People will cry GOW3 copy and yes that may be true, especially since the lead designer IS from GOW, but I digress. The story that surrounds this is entirely different and it should be respected for the artistic vision put into it, and hell, the combat looks hella massive fun. Im down for both purchases but I must say, I'm leaning towards Dante being the more impressive title... just sayin.

Was I the only one expecting a shocker in the 2-3 seconds of black at the end after the "Go to Hell" part ._.?
Seems rather fine as a game, very ambientalistic kinda vibe it gives, guess I'll reserve judgement for the moment... now excuse me while I go struggle with the avatar system for another hour to make it work.

I like the choice of source material, and obviously it makes sense having Dante as a soldier rather than a poet, but I really, really wish this wasn't anime. Jumping 20 feet in the air with some oversized weapon really shatters the style of this game, Shadow of the Colossus guy's movement would have been a lot more attractive for me.

I've been seeing a lot of people compare this to GOW, like it's a bad thing. For me, however, it's not a bad thing at all!
I have a PSP, and my favorite game on the handheld is GOW. I don't have a PS3 or a PS2, though, so I haven't been able to play any of the main games. Having a game like Dante's Inferno will be golden, because it will mean that I get the gameplay elements of a GOW on my Xbox 360. This is something that I have wanted for a very long time!

Will the Dante's Inferno media ever show any originality?
No -- no, it will not.
