MGS: Peace Walker screens are hiding under a cardboard tank

Coming up with headlines is tough -- except in the case of these new MGS: Peace Walker screens from GamesCom. There are plenty of screens to ogle (ten, to be exact!), but none tug at the heart strings more than the screen you see above. There's something magical about two Snakes running around with cardboard disguises that just ... you'll have to excuse us, we have something in our eye.

I would say these screens look homoerotic, but I don't know if that works if they're all clones.

You sure you guys just didn't copy and paste that tank from the MW for Wii screenshots?

The texture resolution is too high for that.

It seems wrong that these screenshots look so much better than the Modern Warfare: Wii ones.

It's still shocking that a PSP game > a Wii game.

But the Wii is more powerful than of the last gen consoles, whereas the PSP is weaker than any of them.

A PSP game looking better than a Wii game is kindda like an Xbox game looking better than an Xbox 360 game.

See there's no reason the Wii version of Modern Warfare can't look this good. It's gorgeous. I'll be getting a PSPGo, that's for sure.

why not get a psp 2000 for 100 bucks cheaper from dell???

it's 130 bucks. 120 bucks less than the psp go. unless you want a mic for the psp, get this one.

Why are many gamers always discouraging others from getting the Go?

Because the Go costs way more than it should, when it's cheaper to make than the 2000 or 3000. Sony did it right by lowering the price of the Slim, so why are they raising the price of the Go?

but the go is smaller, which is a huge selling point for handhelds. I'm on the fence...myself. waiting to see how many psp games my gamesharing friend buys, hehe.

man, i want to play mgs one day, but not now, because my overprotective parents won't let me play M games. i'll just keep playing Bully. *sigh

The Metal Gear series isn't exactly short on homoerotic stuff.

-- The President grabbing Raiden's balls, to check if he's a dude or not in MGS2,
-- Raikov - just everything about him,
-- Volgin grabbing Naked Snake's balls in MGS3,
-- The Otacon ending for MGS1,
-- Snake's 'humping' attack to knock enemies out in MGS4. (Also, his ball grabbing one, also to knock enemies out.)

Hmm, am I the only one confused by this game? Has Kojima explained why there's multiple Big Bosses? They can't be clones, because they're not the right age.

At any rate, Peace Walker strikes me as being a bit more light hearted than previous games in the series. That tank-box is just adorable.

I never wanted a portable gaming system.... until now.

MW for Wii looks like crap compared to this, sad, but true.

Probably the same poly count, it's just MGS has more texture detail is all. I mean, I think I see armor mesh in the CoDMWii shot, but it looks like melted chocolate frosting.
