New Mass Effect Achievements hint at DLC (finally)

It's been quite some time since we've heard about new downloadable content for the original Mass Effect. In fact, the last time we heard about it was when BioWare teased fans that they might hear about DLC soon. That was back in June, and BioWare has said bupkis on the subject since. Thankfully, it looks like the company doesn't have to, as the original Mass Effect has been stealthily updated with new Achievements on Xbox.com.
There are three Achievements, each worth 50 points, bringing the game's total to 1200. The Achievements give us a few details about the DLC's contents. According to the descriptions, Commander Shepard should take part in "Ahern's survival mission" as well as several "combat scenarios on Pinnacle Station." Sounds like we're getting that fight club after all.
We've contacted BioWare in hopes the company might finally drop some details. We'll update this post with any new info.

This one thinks they really blundered up the DLC on ME badly. Heinous. Egregious. Prepostadinculous. This one had already finished ME by the time Bring Down the Sky had come out, and now this? Now? Really? They woulda been high-technical schweet had they been out when this one was still going through the campaign.

They can kind of make up for it somewhat if this DLC acts as a prologue to ME2.

Big ups for working in a Chris Rock reference that is equally amusing to both fans of Chris Rock and fans of Mass Effect.

If there is such a prologue DLC, I would imagine it would work something like selecting a new menu option and choose a finished playthrough just like starting a new game+. I don't see how it could make sense otherwise.

Same here, got every achievement.
Sadly it's the only other game I've gotten 100% on...next to tenchu Z. Hahah. :(

Same for me - have 1050/1050. I was late to the game, but I did get it on Platinum Hits (with Bring Down the Sky) for $20. Dedicated myself to it pretty much for three months to get all the achievements. Love the game - absolutely.

im so close to 1050/1050, i only dont have two of the ally ones, renegade and insane difficulty. I could easily do all of them ,but after beating it like 4 times to get all kinds of achievements and that create a perfect save for ME2 i just dont have the will to do it again

Those freaking ally achievements drove me insane. I went and got Tali and the blue chick to my party as soon as possible, then did nearly all the missions, and still didn't get their ally cheevos.

That's strange. I went through the game only doing missions on uncharted planets if I got something that led me to them (elevator in the citadel, hacking consoles on story planets), plus all the Citadel quests and got the cheevs on the last visit to the Citadel.
Those last two are definitely a bitch though, and to think I have to do them all again when I acquire the game legally *cough*. Thankfully I've had 5-6 months to recover from my two-week 120 hour blitzkreig of the game.

Also, don't do any non-story quests on the Citadel before you grab Liara, they will all be there when you get back.

Wow i have mixed feelings about this. On the onehand im really happy about it, on the other im upset about having to play through it on 3 characters and loading back saves before the citadel fight. Harumph

Yeah I downloaded it right after I did the dashboard update. Works perfectly but one cut scene played out with an invisible character. Nothing else though.

I bet we'll either see something Batarian-related (as a continuation of Bring Down the Sky) or something else involving Cerberus. Then again, it may all be brand new.
If they release it, I'm buying it. BDtS was alright, and the game as a whole is great. I still have 6 achievements left (biotic power uses...) although I've already used just about every power many times over. Looking forward to it skipper/BioWare.

This DLC better be hard. At least for the supposed "fight club" style thing. By the end of my first New Game+ I was a total juggernaut.
