Grab some popcorn and watch the new trailer. At nine minutes long, it's about as long (and interactive) as one of Kojima's notorious (but nonetheless entertaining) cutscenes.
Snake's not alone in this 9-minute Metal Gear Peace Walker trailer

Snake would have saved some time from reviving fainted Snake had he used a Phoenix Down.

Again: I'm so sad this isn't coming to home consoles. It looks *perfect* for splitscreen play.
Seriously, can't they just release this on the PSN for the PS3? They wouldn't even need to make any major changes to the graphics, just bump up the AA and resolution, and it'd look passable enough.
I mean, I'll probably get it either way - I just want my splitscreen co-op MGS.

I didn't think psp games had this much depth in them.I always assumed that they were like the iphone games that I buy but with a $40 price tag.

I think a lot of people are surprised by that. Games like Jeanne D'arc are incredibly deep and even games that look so simple, like Patapon, can have a reasonable amount of depth and customization opportunities.

Yeah I know what you mean. The American Servers are filled with people using AR lvl 3 skill, and Mono lvl 3 skill. Everyone splits up too. The Japanese Servers are more tactical. Here's hoping that MGS PW comes with squad based competitive play. 4 teams of 4 Deathmatch will be awesome. Even Mission competitive play would be awesome. Having 4 teams go after a piece of intel while looking out for the guards and the other teams.

I might have to buy a PSP GO just for this game. I can't even imagine how amazing this would have been on the PS3 game.

They're really showing off the new crouch walking feature in the trailer @_@. I suppose of it took you 4 games+ to add it, you better use it as much as you can. Kind of like the Kojima version of bloom.

I'm going to get downvoted into oblivion for this, but I can't hold it back.
This game looks boring, drab, and stupid. Two dudes shooting dudes at the same time is not innovation; it's stale Japanese development finally doing something that plenty of other game companies have done over and over again. And dual box hiding? Better throw that on the back of the retail packaging.
Playstation kids, seriously. Come on, now.

If I didn't know any better, I'd say this game looks like it has co-op in it.

seems to me that there won't be any story behind it. It will be just part of the game and we'll just accept it. Any cutscenes will just revert to a single Snake.
Kinda like how that old Superman arcade game let you play with two Supermen :P
I wish Peace Walker would have a four man squad that was operational thorughout the whole game (like the campaigns of Lost Planet 2 and Resident Evil 5)

Easy to answer, Les Enfantes Terrible. In MGS for the PS1 Liquid mentions that he and Solid Snake are the only two who "survived", if I remember right, he never mentions what they were to have survived. Obviously, if my memory serves ( it's been something like 10 years since I played the first), this would be what they survive.

only thing with that is LES are still clones and have to grow up at a normal human rate.
I'd more guess it was something more along the lines that the people here were altering people (with surgery and hypnosis) to be counterfeit Big Bosses that they could use for subterfuge, but they decided to join up with the real Big Boss instead

Looks very nice, but Konami really needs some lessons on making a trailer. Very poorly put together. Nevertheless, still very cool.

More than a Konami style it is a Kojima style. If you go all the way back to the first MGS game you can see this style of trailers coming from him- a bit serious, a bit epic, a bit joking, a bit self parodying. In a market that more and more presents trailers in the same style as movies Kojima's trailers still stand out as unique.
This is not to say you are wrong in your comment. Just like his productions you either love the trailers or hate them. But when you see one you know whose game it is.

This looks amazing and quite possibly the greatest co-op game made thus far.
My only gripe is that the game is apparently not going to give us 4 different characters to play as. Why the heck are there 4 Snakes?!

Did we just see the same trailer? I love Kojima's trailers for the simple fact that they're unconventional, stylized, humourous and and full of off the wall surprises. Most gametrailers nowadays use the same boring formula over and over.
