Infinity Ward spells out Modern Warfare 2 voice cast

Another voice work announcement from Twitter now, as Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling (aka FourZeroTwo) has confirmed that the cast of veteran voice actors has completed recording its grunts and grumbles for what seems to be the only game coming out this holiday, Modern Warfare 2. Roll credits:

Barry Pepper (Alex Mercer in Prototype and an amazing sniper back in WWII)
Kevin McKidd (Dr. Hunt on Grey's Anatomy and not something on the McDonald's menu)
Craig Fairbass (Gaz in COD4 -- recently thrown off a mountain in Cliffhanger)
Keith David (Voice of Goliath in Gargoyles and host of sex parties in Requiem for a Dream)
Glenn Morshower (Played an agent in 24 and moonlights as a Jim Gaffigan lookalike)

Fairbass is almost definitely going to return as the voice of Gaz, but the others actors have yet to be matched to the game's characters. Best guesses?

Oh man I hope Barry pepper is a sniper again. The part when he says a string of prayers while headshotting nazis was such an epic part of SPR!

Yeah, and then he dies. Probably the worst part of that movie. Aside from the part where that sissy ass kid lets the guy that killed his squadmate walk past him.

auugggghhh that sucks so bad! I literally rage at my TV whenever i see that scene, i do like when he just pops the guy he let go in the head when he captures 6 guys

i always mimic a prayer before i snipe in Battlefield lol... to bad the sniper class sucks badly in that game

To be honest, I'm getting tired of his voice. All I know is if he tells me to "accelerate my life", I'm shooting him in the head.

I second that. Kieth David made "Gargoyles" so awesome.

I was thinking the exact same thing.

Think about how cool it would be to be his kids. Hearing bed time stories from him must be epic!

He should be the new "Resident Evil!" guy for the title screens.

Agree 100%. I was just saying a few weeks ago, after watching Coraline, that he may be my favorite voice actor working today.

Though his role in Men at Work is still hilarious.

Yay! Kevin McKidd was "Tommy' In Trainspotting!!

Also Vorenus in Rome. Badass soldier.

Also Cooper in Dog Soldiers. Also badass soldier

And Dan Vasser in Journeyman. ;_;

Journeyman....so sad. :( Maybe he'll be a time traveler in this game as well.

Oh man Spawn is in Modern Warfare 2? Fucking awesome.

Glenn Morshower, aka Aaron Pierce, was on the presidents personal Secret Service detail in 24, not to be confued with a CTU agent. He was also the general in both Transformers movies.

Oh man, Lucius Vorenus is voicing a character?!

they didn't cancel it. it was just written as a two season mini series. it had a proper ending. now the real question is why did they cancel carnivale? GAH!!

That part was so epic when Vorenus steps in and saves Pullo in the arena after Pullo nearly kills all the enemies.

A far better reference for Keith David would be The Thing, or perhaps They Live.

Or better yet Saints Row

They Live. Keith David and Rowdy Roddy Piper. One of the best fight scenes in cinematic history. Up there with The Quiet Man (one of the best and most fun).

Wouldn't mentioning that he was Arbiter in Halo, and Captain Anderson in Mass Effect be much more relevant?

Personally, one big smile went across my face when Anderson rolled in and decked Udina in Mass Effect. +1 For Keith David.

keith david is the man. kirby in dead presidents, he beat the crap out of piper in they live, i love his voice work in gargoyles and spawn. another reason to pick this up next spring or summer maybe.
