Is WaW multiplayer as fun as MW's? In a lot of reviews it's said WaW is pretty much MW only with different weaponry and the same perks, but the change of venue is interesting.

Killing random people all day, killing random people all day for a flag...what's the difference really? They're all in what seems like every video game this gen, which is quite boring.
What's worse are the people who say they won't buy great games like Batman because there's no multiplayer. Is killing random people all day in yet another game really that important a factor for buying a game?

I like War, but it IS random killing unless you get a room with 17 people you know. People only seem to play it to get kills, and spawn times are far too lenient. It should be a calculated game in hardcore mode too, but it is turned into a complete clusterfuck with grenade spamming and team kills with people getting booted every 10 seconds.
I'm privy to S&D, pretty much all I've played on both 4 and W@W. TDM isn't awful, I'm just more a fan of objective games. I wish TDM would have some sort of push system instead of just one team trying to rack up X amount of points. Tug of War style TDM would get me to play it a lot more, especially on the larger maps of W@W.

that's why 90% of all skilled players play only war. it's like team deathmatch without a kill limit and with the ability to push a team to a very small corner of the map and rape them for 10-15 minutes.

wait, now that i reread that part of your comment, i realized that what you're talking about is already in the game. that's exactly what war is. a tug-of-war version of TDM.

But it isn't... Tug of war would be each team having a pool of points or what have you that would be drained and filled with each good / bad action on the team. War is first and foremost an objective based game. It's a fun objective based game too, but it is ruined by these "skilled" idiots you speak of just trying for kills, not even focused on the flags. Most of the time, it is just to complete their stupid gun challenges or fixing their K/D on the leaderboards.
Lost Planet's Team Extermination, and especially Colonies' Point Snatcher modes are perfect examples of Tug of War TDM.

Anyways... My point being, that's just not how the game is supposed to be played. They might as well just take it out of the game with Sabotage (another game plagued by assholes who just go for kills and never worry about planting the bomb - they actually get pissed when you try too and its completely stupid because you get infinitely more points in both of these games if you play right). They took Cage Match out for these very reasons. I'd like to see them work on a more robust and persistent online mode. I'm a huge fan of the way Killzone 2 does multiple modes in one game for example, makes you feel there actually is something worth doing and it breaks things up enough to give the bloodthirsty their kill-friendly modes.

idiots? that's the perfect way to play. spawn raping a cornered team, and then capturing the last flag in the last 30 seconds in overtime nabs you a ton of points, and is good for your K/D. judging by the way you're talking, you seem like one of those idiots that runs to the flag over and over, just trying to get the points, not caring how many times you get killed. you may think that helps your team, but when the dogs come biting your team's ass, guess who's fault it is?

I guess if it makes you feel better, I've not been seen on a War map in some time. So you'll never run into me moaning and groaning about the game. I have no real desire to play it anymore, at least not with the small crowd I run with.

First and foremost I play these games for fun, so I fucking hate it when I run into a group out to boost their K/D. That's fine if it is your thing, but you are clearly not there to actually play the game at hand, because all you care about is padding your leaderboard when you do that. It's just a back and forth struggle for the 15+ minutes it ends up lasting (much like Sabotage in 4, again) and everyone comes out the other end misserable and cranky.
I'm perfectly fine with sticking to S&D, at least I know I'm somewhat worth a damn there anyways :P
