===="and something the original release definitely didn't have: a fast, stable framerate."====

Great news. This was KEY for the success of this title. As much nostalgia as people have for Goldeneye and Perfect Dark, the framerate would have been a dealbreaker even for longtime fans once they saw it again, never mind younger gamers.

Hopefully they leave the texture looks as close to the originals as possible, albeit with higher resolutions obviously.

Seriously, we are talking about the future of video games here people, this feature is needed! Well at least they are giving us some real visual upgrades instead of saying “now it’s in HD” and slapping a 1200 points price tag on it like they did with the Banjo games. Right I'm off to play Rez HD and Ikaruga, you remember those Dreamcast ports that cost 800 points.

I've played Perfect Dark on an emulator, which has 60 FPS and AA'ed graphics.

The difference it makes is tremendous.

Nope. Kameo was a great, underappreciated game.

Randy.. PD Zero was a Bratz game with guns. It should have NEVER been made. I think it's funny that Rare made AAA games for Nintendo.. but when they got bought by Microsoft, they started churning out crap.

Does that mean I can re-create N-Bomb only matches and the game won't slow to a crawl?

And why didn't Banjo-Kazooie or Tooie get upgraded graphics and textures? Ugh.. I never even got into PD so this means nothing to me -_-

Nevermind, I just did some thinking about that. Obviously a graphical update of BK or BT would infuriate fans unless it was a top notch, BK: Nuts & Bolts quality overhaul. BK fans would accept nothing less. But I'm still holding my breath for a new BK and BT and a TRUE third game in the series, none of that vehicle nonsense :]

I played Perfect Dark so much I memorized the single-player levels while trying to beat it on the Perfect difficulty (at least the name of the setting was apt). I'm definitely looking forward to this version, if only to see how much muscle memory I've retained from all that work the first time(s) around :)
