With the jam-packed costume contest taking place at BlizzCon in the evening, people spent all of yesterday parading around in their ginormous costumes in preparation. That's some dedication right there! Check out our massive gallery just below, and be sure to watch a video of the contest winners right after the break. The rogue above was one of the finalists, but she was ultimately robbed (robbed, we say!) of the top prize.

What with Blizzard's apparent fetish for ridiculously titanic shoulder pads, I imagine that all the doorways at BlizzCon are extra wide. I mean, just look at the six finalists. I'm willing to bet that not one of them could fit through a normal doorway without doing an awkward side-shuffle that ends in someone getting their eye poked out by a shoulder pad. And that spider lady is just totally screwed.
Amazing costumes, though.

Because the shoulderpads are the most prominent piece of your in game armor and the flourish is more easily seen there than say, boots.

Well, on the scale of show-offy fantasy armor, I would have to say that massive pauldrons are better than, say, enormous numbers of nonfunctional belts and zippers.

Yeeeahhh... I remember seeing the guy at first too. (I was the succubus). I tried to stare at him and scare him away from that angle, but apparently he was pretty determined. Oh well :)

What the hell kind of monkey do you have taking pictures? I went through all 142, and I swear like 85 of them are the same 5 pictures.

Too much attention paid to the same 5 people, too little attention paid to the people who actually deserved more attention. And the asian girl cosplaying as Succubus.

They brought every contestant forward for about 4 seconds, and it's a very low-light environment. Plus, you need to learn how to count. There are clearly a ton of different people in these pix.
Plus, are you *really* bitching about the variety of photos in a cosplay gallery? Next time buy your own ticket, fly yourself out, get a camera, and take your own pix. Then you'll have plenty for your spankbank.

Thinking about it I guess if you got time for WOW you got time for anything,honestly more than 140 entries that's insane.
Their effort is admirable even when some of them look like they made it from what they found in the city dumpster after the circus left the city.

There is several really good tier costumes that didn't make it to the finale. My opinion though, that T7.10 shaman should of won.
