Something based on a modern scenario (2000's New York?), with vampires and werewolves. Oh, and obviously, Zombies.

Seeing as this both by Blizzard, so it should probably involve their own IP, and on the Wii, so it should probably involve that has previously appeared on a Nintendo platform and, since I personally love it, no matter what anyone else says, I think it's time a Blackthorne MMO comes to us.

*crickets chirping*

alright then!

I say let Blizzard handle a Pokemon MMORPG because they are probably one of the few that could do it right. The groundwork is already layed out. Given the popularity of Pokemon (loved by not only the cliche male demographic, but also little kids and girls) the online aspect of all running around in the same world is a goldmine. Make it a Wii title so it can take advantage of a full 3D world and shed itself of the constant block by block sprites its had since day one.

Make your Trainer fully customizable (girls will eat that up). Give the player their own room in a giant hotel. Let the user customize their pokemon with ribbons, fur dye, and accessories. IMPROVE THE BATTLE SYSTEM FROM THE STALE TAKING TURN MESS IT IS. For instance do it more like a final fantasy, where the speed stat actually means something and if your Pokemon was fast enough he could go 2-3 times before something like a snorlax gets to move once. Make pokemon obedience an element of the game, and have the pokemon much more controlable in battle. If you want to tell your pokemon to veer left or right, if you want to tell them to jump, if you want to tell them to back off. And yet if they arent obiedient they wont listen all the time, so a Trainer has to take good care of them and not toss them like tokens into the item box for years. Also get rid of the 1 hit kill moves. I understand the type vs type advantage but come on, nobody likes seing their level 60 charmander die to a level 30 squritle in one attack before they even got to move. They could even implement some Wii functionality like throwing your pokeball out or trying to shoot that little beam out of the pokeball to return your pokemon (like in the cartoon), and the longer you take to nab it/or keep missing the more its out there being beat up.

On that note, let the player customize how they raise their pokemon sort of Mario RPG fashion. Every level up the pokemon would gain base stats so that they would still retain some of their species traits, but then let the player pick another stat they want to boost (so you can decide to raise pokemon different ways, such as focusing on speed or defense). This way your level 100 pikachu isnt a carbon copy of everyone elses.

Hold Tournaments, hold non-battle contests, and make it a world that everyone would want to be apart of. Let people watch in on others matches too, especially the end of tournaments (imagine making it to the finals yourself and having hundreds of players watching your match)

A Pokemon MMO would indeed be awesome, however, they need to merge the franchise with the Nintendogs series to make it possible to "train" your pokemon beyond 4 pre-programmed moves. With a Nintendogs-enhanced Pokemon title, you'd probably be able to pull off a lot of the extra fancy stuff seen in the animated shows, giving rise to all sorts of strategy beyond type vs type.

It would start a whole new FF acronym for you fans of Final Fantasy.

What about a symbiotic game like Kindom of Hearts? But, instead of meshing Disney and FF, mesh Nintendo's characters (Mario, Link, Donkey Kong, Bowser, etc.) with Warcraft?

Makes perfect sense to me!

I believe that there could be something where the player is set in a medievil fantasy, where the player would find an enemy (or another player) and fight them via instance. So like a regular RPG, where when met with a random battle you switch to a battle scene, the player is instanced to an area with the enemy where they battle. This way, it relaxes the strain on the network to only two players (or one if it's an A.I.).

The battle would rely on simple button presses to swing a sword or do magic, but the game would allow for clashes where players shake to build up enough power to over-power their oppenents. Of course this can be modified to allow for suspenseful and flexible fighting.

You play as a blizard employee and get to choose to be a programmer, art designer, producer, director, music maker or Night Elf Mohawk. The main quests are about shrinking down games to fit on the Wii hardware, and releasing Starcraft 2 before the world ends.

I think that blizzard should just stick to making games that are not for the Wii. Actually forget about consoles and just continue to make kick-ass PC games like they used to.
I love the Wii and i dont think it needs a company like blizzard to attract the gamer crowd. Leave it to a company that truly understands the system and can actually put a fair amount of effort into creating something unique in the online gaming world. .
