That is a massive jump for X360. Surely somebody knows something there.

Wasn't Dream C Club released this week? I think that would account for the sales increase since that sort of thing goes down rather well in Japan.

"The PSP increased because Dissidia: Final Fantasy is coming out in North America next week, and Japanese gamers want to experience the magic all over again at the same time ... that we do."

Yeah right... Did you know the JP version has ad-hoc online, and the U.S. version DOES NOT?

The more you know...

Dissidia's awesome, got a hold of it thanks to a broken street date at a store that doesn't give two shits about street dates near me :D

I've only played as Cloud and Cecil so far in story mode but even though I like Cloud the character more...Cecil is the better fighter of the two.

I would try online, but I'd rather not take the chance of Squeenix thinking I pirated it.

@ Alton

A toss up between Squall and Onion Knight. I have to use Cloud to beat Chaos, though. Also, Terra's whirlwind and Flare powers are cool.

@ tmac

You sure you have online ad-hoc? I've been reading in reviews that option was not carried over...

If it is, that would be awesome, because I have some friends that wanted to fight me online!

The cool thing about Cecil is how he changes from Dark Knight to Paladin mid-fight.

Oh, and Onion Knight is hilarious.

I'm talking about this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nnGoIgZwavs&feature=related

It's an app you can download on the JP PlayStation Store, and in Dissidia, there's an option to play online via ad-hoc! This means you can play against others online, I've done so with other JP Dissidia owners.

From the reviews, they stated you can share content online, but they haven't mentioned this feature which makes me think that Sqeenix omitted it for the U.S. release.

But, tmac's gonna check.

Ok, there's a communications mode that expands when you click it. It has several features on the expanded list.

Online Lobby: Connect through an ad-hoc network to battle or exchange Friend Cards.

Offline Lobby: View offline friend cards. Can fight ghost opponents & recieve rewards.

Friend Card Settings: Change your friend card info. Message and icons can be changed.

Artifacts: View Artifact history, or rename them, changing their effects

Card Exchange: Enter sleep mode and share friend cards with others in card exchange.

oh, i know what you mean.

well, of course they omitted it! ad-hoc party isn't out in the US yet. that would be including a feature that most PSP owners in the US can't use.

Awesome! So you can do online battles!

But as Sly has stated, ad-hoc party isn't out yet... Maybe it will be by the street date???

Good to see that the Wii boost from MH3 has held on. I still doubt that MH3 will really catch on like Freedom 2G and PSP, but if it can stay strong through the rest of the year, at least, it will help give Wii in the upcoming epic struggle with PS3 in the region.

Hasn't it only sold like 500k in japan since launch? Which isn't very good for that series, or maybe it is since console versions never sell as well as the psp ones.

I think that was the number a week ago, or more. Not sure. They were having trouble moving the standalone software, but it was largely resolved that the problem moving the software was that most of the buyers out there want one of the bundles, since they're having trouble keeping up with demand for the bundles.

part of the monster hunter phenomenon is that people loved to get together with friends in public places and just hunt. it's hard to do that when your console is tethered to a TV. but i must admit, MH3 is the one wii game i truly want. the things they added are amazing. underwater hunting... dang.

Speaking of the PS2 being old. Someone on the paystation forums said "PS2 is 14 years old, I have no idea why it is still selling"

He was dead serious about it being 14 years old... I just thought i'd share...

People like him are the reason why Gamestop feels the need to ask me if I know that Uncharted 2 is a ps3 game (since I preordered 2 360 games the same day).

He probably meant the playstation brand though, but I'm not gonna bother looking into that too much

Traceur,
It was great and the best part was that it made the house smell so good. It's really easy to make the pork roast so let me know if you want the recipe. It takes about 20 minutes to prep and then you just let it cook for like 8 hours. Also, it feeds about 6. Not bad for the $10 it costs to make it. Sorry if I got carried away, I like to cook.
