Mass Effect's Pinnacle Station DLC now a premium theme, still unannounced [update]
Update: Reader Codemonkey76 points out that the listing is now on the US Xbox.com page right here. Interesting!
So, at this point, one has to wonder if we're looking at a guerrilla marketing campaign. Not only have achievements popped up for Mass Effect DLC "Pinnacle Station," not only has the Swiss Xbox.com priced the thing, but now a Pinnacle Station theme has actually shown up on Xbox Live. ... Oh, didn't we mention? It's still unannounced.
While you wait for someone to actually confirm its existence, check out the gallery below and see if you're able to extrapolate any hints about the content from the images we captured.
[Thanks, TheDarkWayne]

Crusty Magic @ Aug 24th 2009 5:07PM
Sloooooooooopy.
smcn @ Aug 24th 2009 5:53PM
Sloopy? That doesn't sound pleasant at all.
Rhamsey @ Aug 24th 2009 5:08PM
The theme is alright, but I prefer the other one (not like I'd pay for a theme anyway).
Phillip @ Aug 24th 2009 5:57PM
Amen to that! Why would I want to spend $5 on a couple of background images (which get mostly covered up by the interface and the silver "floor" at the bottom of the screen) and a handful of background models that appear in random order behind avatars in my friends list?
Especially since I can put any image I want on a thumb drive, hook it up to the xbox, and use it as a wallpaper!

BioWare & EA "If we don't say it, it doesn't exist..."
tmacairjordan87 @ Aug 24th 2009 5:16PM
Bioware's making an awful lot of hoopla out of what is essentially an arena DLC, which is nice don't get me wrong....but it's still just an arena. Just release the fucker already.
sk8monroe81 (PSN--XBL) @ Aug 24th 2009 5:18PM
yeah but some of us have been waiting 2 years to get more mass effect.
so just more mass effect is fine with us.
loltrainz @ Aug 24th 2009 6:26PM
Whats funny about your statement is that none of the "hoopla" came from Bioware. They haven't even announced it and yet somewhow they are causing all the ruckus and hype for it! =p
Deezul @ Aug 24th 2009 5:32PM
Wow, if you ever wonder what the opposite of Duke Nukem 4 was, this must be close. An actual product priced and possibly available to play, yet the company will not confirm it.

That guy looks nothing like Shepard in the screenshot Just a lo res photo?
The Dark Wayne @ Aug 24th 2009 5:51PM
maybe it's not shepard? No that's ridiculous, what an outlandish idea
West @ Aug 24th 2009 7:53PM
What I don't get is why the Shepperd on the box/online screenshots doesn't look anything like the one in my Xbox. Please help. Be sure to send Republicans too!
AsherR [Planeteer | Power of Lightning] @ Aug 24th 2009 5:48PM
Nice find DarkWayne! More proof that you are the world's greatest detective!
I just want ME2 now please.

Shepard has really let himself go...Pinnacle station must have one hell-of-a buffet...

Mass Effect was a disappointment to me. I was expecting an open world enviroment with non-linear paths and a non-arbitrary dialogue system. I found KOTOR to be much more of an engrossing experience. I am excited for the sequel and I hope they can make good on they experience they promised with the first title.
The Dark Wayne @ Aug 24th 2009 7:47PM
you know as much as i loved mass effect i agree. I had no problem with the pathing of it, but the dialogue system really did just amount to "Good/Bad/Neutral/Dick, and what they did was it was even worse, the party interaction was just awful maybe 8 new lines from only one or two of your party members every major planet you complete, that was a huge let down to KOTORs incredibly deep and meaningful squad interaction. Falling in love with bastilla after 20 lines of dialogue and way more choices every level was much better than talking to ashley about alien racism and her dead patriarchs. The sidequests were much much worse than KOTOR, i cant even begin to describe it. But even with all these massive problems i still absolutely loved it and i think the sequel is going to be incredible
Imadogg @ Aug 24th 2009 9:52PM
I've been telling my friends, we need to convince Bioware to re-release KOTOR for the 360 and I will purchase it for sure, and it will be known as the greatest game ever. It's still my favorite single player experience of all time.
I want this damn DLC to come out already though.
jeff @ Aug 25th 2009 6:04AM
Its now available. I just download the DLC. Thanks BIOWARE!
Imadogg @ Aug 25th 2009 8:27AM
Yuuuppp. Just got on the 360 at 5am and I see it there being advertised, yahoooooooooooooo
