OK, we know that saying Japanese TV commercials are "weird" isn't exactly revelatory, so how about this: Sony's new "Playface" ads for the slimline PS3 are really, truly, disturbingly weird. Yes, perhaps even more odd than Sony Computer Entertainment Europe's "The Third Place" ads for PS2 directed by David Lynch.
If this is what we really, truly look like when playing PS3, we're unplugging our PS Eyes immediately and checking for hidden closed-circuit surveillance. Who knows -- we could be next; clicking, shaking and generally acting creepy in a Sony ad without even knowing it.
Wow, the one time I remember to use the you are form I don't need it. Curse you grammar!!! Oh does that count as a curse? If it does, JangoGod you can have the whole title to yourself.
They better Damn well promote it like hell here....
I want to see PS3 Commercial During "Lost", "Heroes", "WWE Raw", "WWE Smackdown", "Fringe", "House", and any other primetime show that people ages 17-35 watch heavily....
Yes, I dare anyone to tell me that this ad is any worse than OMG LILAC PSP. Or "Dude, get your own." Or for crying out loud, the crying baby ad at PS3's launch!! I hope I'm not the only one, but I can see these ads moving a lot product.
I dunno, I kinda liked them. I totally get it. "Show your game face" makes complete sense, unlike those Euro "this is living" commercials. I think some people just poke fun for the heck of it. I see a lot of US commercials along the same lines.
It is the European ads I'm referring to. Sorry, I assumed they'd be the same in all English speaking countries. It is the 'this is living' ads I'm referring to. Never seen the American ones.
yeah that image page is scary...makes me wonder what kinda faces i make when im playing COD in my whitey tighties and getting my ass handed to me by some twelve year old....woah that sounded wrong
