They suck anyway, so who cares if they're named after the book or the movie?

That movie was horrendous. An idiot girl goes through a living hell with the boss-from-hell in an industry she doesn't even want to be in, in the first place, and isn't any good at. Why? What was her motivation to stay in that job? None. Any sane person would have quit the first week. HORRIBLE chick movie.

Yea I'm curious if the PS3 version of the game will come with this built in, that would be cool. I still haven't played it yet, although PS3 has Fat Princess (wewt), but gonna get this on PS3 when it comes out.

Good lord take it easy on Chris. He already bought it on 360 and now wants it on PS3, so effing what? While I disagree on his opinion about paying for a gold live membership he's still one of the more level-headed folks we have that comments here, so ease off. Yeeeeeeeeeeesh.

I read that as 1600 the first time, was getting a little worried.
Still, we shouldn't have to be pay for content that's already in the game.

Certainly won't be going near their third game. Behemoth have done nothing but treat their fans badly and pass all blame to Microsoft.

When I saw this post on the front page, I said to myself "Wow! Only $2 for some good DLC. But I'm sure that there will still be some asshole who is too cheap to pay $2 and thinks that he deserves it for free". And what do you know? There is one.

If this was new content, I'd happily purchase it.

But take a look at some Castle Crashers discussion topics. This content was discovered in the game back when the game was first released. It's already in there, there's no reason to make us pay for it.

You're paying for an unlock key, if you think that's fair, feel free to send me your money instead. I'll give you access to the Blue Knight.

Just for the record, here's all the content that was found back when the game launched.

Notice the "new" characters and animal orbs, along with the chainsaw and other weapons..

I'm a little fuzzy on the whole 'good' DLC thing. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy this game. However, a new character/weapons? That's actually pretty lame. I don't really consider that very compelling DLC. Good stuff here would be extra enemies/levels, in addition to extra playable characters.

If you are worried about DLC content already being in the game, you should be blaming Microsoft. Their policy is that developers of arcade titles must include the DLC in the game code before it launches in the first place.

Or at least, that's what I read online when Castle Crashers originally came out.

Like I said, Behemoth keeps trying to cover themselves by passing blame to Microsoft. Perhaps what they're saying is true..

But then why do so many other arcade games have no DLC at all? If MS don't allow free content, why do so many others have free content packs which is often much bigger than these simple unlock keys? If it wasn't their idea to charge for the content, why did they lock it out of the game to begin with, it was clearly there during preview builds.

They could have easily made new characters, new weapons or new levels that I would have happily bought. Instead they've done nothing but jerk us around, pass the blame else where and frankly, none of their stories add up.

Now someone say "Vote with your wallet" and"Slippery Slope" to make this line of comments complete! I love those cause I always take their advice and if I hadnt just spent my remaining points on rock band dlc I would definitely vote for the joy of hacking thieves apart with a chainsaw over internet whiners.

I find you people very confusing. Things like spending money on avatar clothing is wrong, evil and shouldn't be supported. Yet paying for content that's actually physically already in the game you own is fine?

Remember the Street Fighter IV costumes that we had to pay for, despite them already being in the game? It's the same thing here. What about the Resident Evil 5 multiplayer mode that people felt should have been there to begin with as well? This is 100x worse than that, because it *IS* already there.

I don't know how else to explain my point. Does somebody want to tell me why all that stuff is bad, but this is good? Yes, it's a lot cheaper but you're still caving into the same shady dealings you're trying to stop.

God I loathe the slippery slope/vote with your wallets/stand up be heard bullshit. It gets ridiculous enough with the mentally disabled PS3 fanbots saying "why do people buy 360s, stand up to Microsoft and let them know this isn't acceptable!" Frankly, anyone using any one of those lines of reasoning is a mentally disabled idiot. Nerds on blogs aren't going to form a coalition of the willing that will successfully stand up to 'insert large faceless corporation here'

Well Snowblind I personally dont care one way or another about avatar clothing, if people want it fine, but I'm not interested. I bought the RE5 DLC (and loved it). More than anything I dont like people who do nothing but complain about things that are completely optional. No one forces you to buy these things and if it is a slippery slope and all gaming becomes this way its your choice not to be a part of that. The way I'm looking at this is that Castle Crashers is a really fun game and it would be really cool to have a chainsaw.

How has The Behemoth "treated their fans badly" again? You pay $15 for a game with a ton of weapons, a ton of unlockable characters, a ton of animal orbs, and a whole lot of things to do (admittedly with nerfed online play though, probably still) - yet for releasing a DLC with new characters, weapons and another animal orb for the price of a coffee + donut, they're "treating their fans badly"? I'm at a loss for words.

The DLC is not required to finish the game, it's *optional*. You have plenty opportunity to get hours and hours of replayability unlocking all the other characters, weapons, and animal orbs that are already there. But because a few were initially left out and are now available for peanuts, they are anti-fan? I don't get it. It's even more ludicrous to complain about paying for this when essentially the new characters probably won't add much (ie shaking up the rankings of RK/OK being the top and GK being the worst ever [even though I love playing as him due to the poison DOT]). Nor will the chainsaw end up de-throning the top tier weapons (the club comes to mind).

I didn't buy the King DLC (despite the sceptre being one of the top tier weapons), but I'll probably pick this up to play with the Necromancer and the chainsaw. I just wish they'd patch the online co-op (last time I heard, it was still FUBAR'd).

This is what's included:

- Two new Characters!
The Necromancer (who’s magic is pure awesome) and The Cult Minion

- A new Animal Orb
Dragonhead will bring the heat!

- Two new Weapons!
The NG Skull Mace and yes, …the damn Chainsaw.

- There should also be picture pack goodness as well!

http://forums.thebehemoth.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=7626

I wouldn't really call this an "expansion". It's a couple of new weapons and characters. That isn't worth anything to the hordes of us who already beat the game a long time ago...Something so insignificant should be free in my opinion. I wonder if this DLC will even be 1 megabyte in size -- maybe with the picture pack.

They are anti-fan for refusing to fix problems with the game and constantly blaming others for said problems and this content costing money.

"It's even more ludicrous to complain about paying for this when essentially the new characters probably won't add much"

Isn't this more reason for the content to simply be free? It's not the price I'm complaining about anyway, I like DLC. My only problem is that the content was there to begin with, this pack doesn't *add* anything.

What problems? I've had no problems with Castle Crashers, especially these disconnection problems people seem to keep mentioning. Maybe you guys need to invest in some faster internets when playing with friends on LIVE?

Did they fix the actual net code yet? That was my main beef with the game. Even after "the patch" I still had issues with dropped connections when playing online co-op.

Castle Crashers was a great game when it worked. When it didn't it was simply frustrating.
