PS3 owners who scooped up the formidable Batman: Arkham Asylum collector's edition are going a bit batty on the game's official forum due to seemingly botched DLC codes. The codes, included only with the CE, enable two challenge map downloads -- but, so far, have only unlocked ire.
Not to fear, as Eidos community reps are asking for the spurned downloaders' codes so that they can be "passed on and investigated." The publisher is definitely on the case, although there's no clear ETA for a fix. We suggest bookmarking the thread if you're having problems, as it seems to be a source of frequent updates. We also suggest that you don't think of doing anything crazy with that replica Batarang. They're just DLC codes, folks. It'll be OK.

This is why DLC via reservation is a bad idea. If it isn't in the box when you bought it, don't trust it!

Can someone clear something up for me? Gamestop was promoting that it had exclusive DLC for the game if you pre-ordered. Is that the DLC with the skeletons or the DLC that this post is referring to?

The article is referring to Gamestop's Scarecrow Challenge DLC. It's packaged inside the gamebox. Unfortunately, I got the CE edition, which was a huge disappointment because the Batarang is made of low quality plastic and my DLC code doesn't work. Definitely not worth $100.

Alex,
You misunderstood my comment. The CODE was in the box, Not the actual content. It's good to know that the content is up for download, but my comment was in support of having a disk in the box rather than having to put in a code for download.
Sure, it's cheaper via code, but DLC for many games is rarely a smooth ride.

Even with a plastic batarang, it's still awesome.

Actually I to got the CE version of the game. Also I would only recommed that you get the collector's edition is you are TRUELY a Batman fan from long ago and not jus one from the newest movie PERIOD. Also my code worked fine. I'm pretty satisfied that spent $100 on this game for all the extra stuff it came with for the PS3. Welp i feel sorry for those ppls codes that didn't work, peace.
