So Sony and Nintendo have been sued god knows how many times, but I've heard nothing about those dudes from Redmond getting sued.

If anybody knows about such a case, pleeze tell me.

proving, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that there are, in fact, no smart 12 year olds in existence.

The sarcasm isn't lost on me, but I think the humor was.

How many times has Nintendo been sued since the Wii came out? It seemed like there was a lawsuit every day for a while.

LOL. I kinda wish Nintendo had done nothing and just allowed a ban of the Wii. I would really have liked to see the streets lined with rioting Nintendo fanboys using motion controlled torches and pitchforks as they razed the offices of Hillcrest Labs.

Yeah, if Nintendo's taking over the world they might as well use their human resources.

More like "Here's 4 million dollars, kid, now leave us alone". Money is no object at Nintendo.

It's funny - 5 years ago I worked at a company called Music Choice and we were courting Hillcrest for a potential partnership in the television navigation space. Hillcrest came to a big company meeting we held annually and they gave us a technical demonstration, followed by a Q&A session with the company principals. I stood up during QA and point blank asked them how they felt about the just announced Wii remote functionality, because their tech demo worked without any sensor bar for IR triangulation I also asked them how theirs differed from Nintendo's. The question was brushed off, that they were two different things.

Of course some where along the way their lawyers must have figured out that there was money to be made by bringing a case against Nintendo
