PSN: PSA is down for maintenance today
53
Err, wait. Scratch that. Reverse it. This is a helpful PSA reminding you, dear reader, that the PSN will be down for regularly scheduled maintenance for at least part of the day today. Servers are going down for a hasty sprucing-up at 8:00 PST, and are expected to stay down "for several hours." In the meantime, why not step outside? It's a beautiful day today -- unless you live in select parts of the midwest, which is currently experiencing a phenomenon meteorologists are referring to as "razor rain." You guys should probably hide in your bathtubs or something.

Living in Iowa (Iowa City at the moment), I certainly have experienced painful "razor rain" before.

I wonder if roaches will be the only thing that survives after a nuclear lighting storm. Well, maybe them and Moira Brown.

Who planned to take PSN down on the day that Arkham Asylum is released? I mean, the whole appeal of getting the PS3 version was to be able to download the exclusive Joker maps on release day. Of course everyone can just download them when PSN is back up, but still, seems a bit odd.
Such is the folly of scheduled maintenance I suppose

Nothings gonna happen, they just gonna check the "complaints" box and a few ppl will get banned...I think they should also check that the mice aren't pulling out the Ethernet cables in the server room....that's all

The mice do that at my house too, but that's because I have wireless and they hate tripping over cables. Did I mention I have huge, intelligent mice in my house?

No, Sony usually waits until the day before or the day of the release then issue the statement that the update is delayed. Or in even better cases wait until they have reached the required number of calls saying that their systems have bricked and then tell us the update was pulled, they know what the problem is and will have it up after further testing.

The "PSA" and "PSN" should be reversed in the title.
"PSA: PSN is down for maintenance today."
"PSA: PSN is down for maintenance today."

Read the first sentence in the article.
Makes me wonder if people just read the titles of these articles and think they can comment about it.
