Where does he get those wonderful toys? Well, from GameStop in our case, but we're pretty sure the Batman: Arkham Asylum Collector's Edition is available in lots of different places. Before you go plunk down a Benjamin for the thing, you may want to watch our unboxing video above to decide if it's worth the cash.

Let's just say the Batarang leaves something to be desired and leave it at that, shall we?

Only on PS3, only after you download some DLC and only for the Challange maps I'm afraid.

Let's hope it does come to the 360. If it stays exclusive and it actually shows to have an impact on the sales.. It just means Microsoft are going to become far more aggressive with exclusive DLC, it needs to die here and now.

What i meant was that the only console rockstar originally released GTA for was for playstation.... (unless you consider PC a console). But exclusive Content is rubbish.

Yes, the 360 is my favourite console but I also own a PS3 and will be getting the game for that, due to the content. But I've never been fond of the idea of content being exclusive to any system.

How funny will it be when MS secure permanent exclusive New Vegas content, for example, that you can't play on your favourite system?

Such is the competitive marketplace. I'm not saying it is a good thing, only pointing out you are ready to start the revolution only when the PS3 gets a minor DLC exclusive.

I didn't see you up in arms when this was happening with significantly more substantial DLC for GTAIV, Fallout 3, etc.

So pull down your skirt a bit, your fanboy is showing.

I wasn't up in arms, but I don't recall ever saying much about it at all. It didn't affect me, I didn't expect it become a trend and I certainly didn't - and still don't expect it to remain exclusive. The Fallout content is already coming to the PS3, and I suspect the GTAIV stuff will shortly after it's all been released for the 360.

I also don't much like being called a "fanboy" especially by people who quite clearly are themselves. The 360 is my favourite console, yes, but I also own a PS3 as well as PSP, DS and Wii and like to think of myself as quite balanced in my opinions, even if the majority of what I'm interested in does revolve around the 360.

The content for Fallout and GTA didn't have a particularly big impact on sales of either version, most probably because people do expect it to be released on the others later. However, I can see this content shifting quite a few PS3 copies because of the way it's being marketed, and I'm pretty sure that will force MS to stop toying around with these timed exclusives and instead push for things they can keep forever. I *don't* want to see permanent exclusive stuff coming to games like Fallout or the Elder Scrolls, etc, in the future, but that's exactly what's going to happen because of this.

Yes, I have a favourite system, but I play good games regardless of what system they're on. I don't pretend to be completely unbiased, but I also don't pretend to be better than others who clearly have similar views of opposite systems.

Hmm, let's examine snowblind's logic. Exclusive DLC for GTAIV (did you miss all those threads where people were saying they were buying the 360 version for the DLC?) had no effect, exclusive DLC for fallout 3 (of which there was no confirmation and flat-out denial by Bethesda that it would ever come to ps3) had no effect on overall sales by platform.

But, in snowblind's imaginary world, we are supposed to believe that some peripheral mini-game exclusively for ps3 IS going to significantly swing sales?

I have a hard time believing that.

Like I said, Serpiente, nothing more than a troll. I'm sorry I can see the facts, and you just look for things to annoy people with. That link- my post was perfectly fine. How is that trolling? The game looks good but it's nothing more than hype. The fancy lighting (as in the "God rays") is probably nothing more than some sprites and the textures are not anything we haven't seen before... The models are great, but also nothing we haven't seen before- just like with Killzone 2.

the batarang isnt detachable from the stand and it's also made of shitty plastic, i doubt it will even kill a pumpkin. The manager working the midnight release at my gamestop said that was one of the reasons it got delayed because several states considered the metal batarang a deadly weapon.

Had it been metal, I would have bought it. This unbox video cost Eidos 50 bucks, as I'm now going for the regular edition on PC for 40 bucks instead of the collectors edition for 90 bucks.

A 30-50ish dollar premium (depending on where you buy) for a crappy plastic batarang? Really Eidos?

Wow, pretty disappointing and I knew the batarang was fixed and made out of plastic. Should at least look pretty cool on display though.

Feel a bit ripped off being in the UK though, ours was pretty much the same price but instead of the big bat shaped box, we just have a reqtangular cardboard one. We don't get the leather dust jacker for the book, and it just comes with the regular case for the game.. Pretty sad.

I got it for £40 from GAME, but I feel bad for anyone who paid full price for it.
