At least Wil Wright still gets his moola... :( I thought I had read Spore under-preformed compared to what they expected. I still have not picked up Galactic Adventures any good?

The Reason it underperformed was that, it was the most illegally downloaded game last year, Thanks to EA's Bull$het DRM.
But this year, EA is more of a good guy, compared to Activisions Need for Greed $$$

Please, the reason the game underperformed has nothing to do with the piracy, which probably didn't help much. The game didn't deliver and to most people, it plain sucks. It has a lot of great ideas in it, but very few, if any, were implemented well. It was over rated. The game has its merits, but it's just not fun enough.

In case you haven't noticed yet: Maxis no longer does The Sims or Sim City. Both franchises have been taken over by other development studios, The Sims directly by EA.
