What about the Lips microphone patch? Bit of a deafening silence from HMX on that one

Lips is like $30 anymore and comes with two really nice interactive wireless microphones, what's there to laugh about? It's a fun game!

I don't mind the lack of Mic support though. They do take AAs, would have been nice if they were rechargeable out of the box.

I know, right! They had originally said summer 2009 was gonna be an estimated release date but summer's almost over. :(

Course I bought it, those mics are way better than the RB/GH ones and they're £30 each standalone, I paid £5 more for Lips and I got the game, 2 mics and 800msp with it.

Plus it was actually fun for a bit. Then it went on eBay.

Hopefully support will be included in this patch, the battery life is ok anyway and I just use rechargeables.

Yep, Harmonix has really been lagging it with that patch. It sucks because my mics are just collecting dust.

At least let us play the whole song. I found only being able to play part of the song really annoying in the Unplugged demo. I can't imagine ever choosing to buy the song under those circumstances.

If you got the entire song free, I don't see you choosing to buy it either.

Jesus, do you refuse to buy songs on iTunes or AmazonMP3 because they only offer 30 previews?

Funny, but... 1. Obviously, I would expect to be able to play the song only once. 2. Listening to a song and playing it in RB are two different experiences. 3. I don't buy songs from iTunes or Amazon, but not for that reason. 4. I have long hair and a beard, but I'm not Jesus. (insert joke about pausing RB in the middle of a conference) Sorry about the formatting; Joystiq's comment system isn't PS3-friendly.

Letting you play the whole song is the equivalent to just giving it away. All you'd have to do is keep previewing it. They arnt giving you previews of the regular HMX made songs because you know the song charts will be quality more often than a user made chart (c'mon we've all seen Frets on Fire charts and know how bad they can be.)

This + the massive ammount of DLC already available = Rock Band 3.

Although The Beatles: Rock Band comes out Sept. 9th.

Why do you want a new game? Would you rather pay 60 bucks for some more songs (some of which you may not like) and minor improvements to the game when you can keep the game you have and download whatever songs you want?

The answer is next year. The Beatles have it this year. Kind of a ripoff if you ask me.

@Drew, why the rush on a new game with more expenses? the fact that it updates weekly with new content is perfect. Leave the over exposure to Activision, RB is almost perfect as it is.

@Neuromancer, I would guess it is because the user created thing is expected to be smaller bands who's music is a bit harder to find. If HMX puts out a list of songs you never heard of, most of the time you can easily find it on youtube so you know ahead of time if you like it. Such a thing isnt quite as easy with a band local to wherever.

There is one thing I would like to see in the menus, and that is a "recently downloaded list" or at least in order of the songs being loaded onto your system. All to often I'll forget who or what I downloaded and have to search through hundreds of songs to figure it out again.

This isn't for the PS3. The Rock Band Network is built off of XNA and unless this is new news everything up to this point has said that it will only be for 360.

And that's the fun thing about rss readers, you get the newest news first. Then when you comment about something and feel like you really showed that website you scroll down a bit and find out you were wrong.
