"timbaland has been around for a looooong time, cant compare to lil joke"

You must only be familiar with northern hip hop. Lil Jon was Jermaine Dupri's right hand man at So So Def from 1993-2000 producing many of the hits on the So So Def Bass Allstars, Da Brat and Kris Kross albums way before he brought out his own "Krunk" CDs.

Basically the gaming mainstream just capitalizes on all of hombrews ideas. Some of my favorite psp apps have been the guitar tuner, TI calculator emulators, universal remote, and remote joy. That beat app your referring to was pretty sweet.

There was also a program on UMD called Traxxpad. It worked pretty well when you figured out when it all worked. If my friends picked it up, they dropped it within minutes because they didn't want to put in the time to figure out how to use it.

I wasn't a fan to begin with but I never forgave him for that event.

Except I remember a interview about it including him saying (or rather INSISTING) "I'M PIZZA HUT" for reasons I don't remember. Every time me and my friends hear something about him we just start shouting I'M PIZZA HUT, I'M PIZZA HUT.

Looks pretty neat for what it is. It's a good time sink thats surely fun and something you can make beats with on the go. I'm sold except for the price. The price is crucial on this one. I can't see myself paying much more than $20.

OK as I was typing the above part I decided to look up the game at Gamestop. It costs $39.99 or as much as Persona! No. Way. No. How. The game looks sweet (maybe even better as a PSN game) but I can't see myself paying $40 bucks for it. Maybe when it's discounted.

dry it,
and roll it,
and smoke it

(I know it tastes like goat shit)

Do you smoke your lettuce?

(believe me I've tried!)

You're gonna end up with similar problems than if you were smoking tobacco!

(I know, fo sho, you should try it with tomato, burnin salad in my throat!)

I'm sorry. Timbalands only been in the game 15+ years, and has changed the sounds of hip-hop, R&B, pop, and rock 'n' roll. He's easily one of the most influential producers of the last decade. Oh, and I bet there's a Justin Timberlake CD in your home (or on your iPod) somewhere.

If you call stealing music from middle eastern, chip scene, indie, and South American musicians, and not giving credit while claiming them as your own "influential" -- Then yeah, this jerkoff is VERY influential.

He's influential enough not to have ever written anything of his own.

If I hadn't seen that spot, I would have completely ignored this software. I'm tired of most music games and apps. But this looks like it could be as good as Mixman was, a decade ago. I spent MONTHS making tracks and uploading them to Mixman Radio!

I hope this program has some sort of feature encourages people to host their tracks online.

Hey Timba!

So... Is this like Timbaland's other music? You know... Do you steal other people's whole songs, then add in some drums and new vocals, and then call it your own music and make a fortune off of it while not giving any credit to the person whom you plagiarized?

Is it like that, Timba?

Because, you know, you're a complete f*cking a$$hole and a thief. You make it a habit to steal other artists' music and call it your own. I hope this bombs, and I hope you DIAF, you untalented, uncreative, sleazebag.

Artists who work with Timbaland are traitors to their own art. He's a miserable, lying, sack of sh!t, sonuvabitch who does nothing to elevate the music industry or musicians.

Seriously... F*ck you, Timbaland, and f*ck Rockstar for making this game.

I'm pretty sure that copyright law protects sampled or otherwise derived works. For example, "Rapper's Delight" is mostly based on "Good Times" by Chic, but Nile Rodgers (of Chic) gets co-songwriting credit as well as royalties for both album sales and radio play. Similarly, Billy Squier gets royalties for any song that samples "The Big Beat", etc..

UK law is different from US law, but I think the principles are similar; the Rolling Stones infamously ended up owning the rights for The Verve's "Bittersweet Symphony" because the song is based on an orchestrated version of "The Last Time" by the Stones. This allowed them to license it for marketing purposes, much to the dismay of Richard Ashcroft.
