Xbox 360 Arcade price increased in UK, Microsoft explains

Brits are absolutely buzzard people. Screw them over and all you'll hear are minor complaints followed by them bending over for some more. It wouldn't surprise me if Arcade sales increase over this.

BTW, Microsoft, the dollar is extrordinarily weak, so the exchange rate fluctuation argument doesn't fly.

MS has increased the price of their consoles before. The last thing they did to the original Xbox was raise the price. It went from $149 to $179 at the end (with a Forza packin).

I did plenty of research. Which is why I got my Bluray player at a great price. And furthermore the ps3 isn't perfect.

Nor does it allow me to watch Netflix on it.

And the online is far worse than the 360. Plus aside from a few upcoming titles (and by upcoming I mean next year) there's not much on the system in terms of games.

My solution works for me. I spent an amount of money that was comfortable in my opinion on 2 companies that I support.

Plus as far as cables are concerned you can hide them.

And I think I read on here that sony will never bring back ps2 backwards compatibility right? Well then I highly doubt I'll be buying one. I wonder if they'll put ps3 backwards compat in the ps4.

Although it makes perfect sense (unlike other recent MS news), it's still a dick move. They should've totally ate the price just so they didn't look like assholes.

Remember MS was bragging about how they were the only one managed to increase sales this year? Now they can also say;

I bought that arcade unit as my elite 360 bricked on me... i use my 120GB HDD on it. The fact is the Arcade is the same hardware as the other SKU's but I get the newest chipset in the bargain.. it's the way to go. Get your bricked Pro or Elite and sell it on Ebay fully repaired.. use the money to get an Arcade unit and slap your 120GB HDD on it and voila.... RROD proof.
