While I am not the biggest fan of Nirvana. I do have respect for anyone who can go through the trials and tribulations of getting nationally recognized for their music. especially since its success is based on something as fickle as personal taste. So there is bound to be argument and discord, which is great because it forces music to change and evolve.

The great part with both Rockband and Guitar Hero is that people now have a different way to get introduced into something new or some different. While personally, I think Kurt wouldn't have wanted his music or his face on Guitar Hero 5, it lets another generation of people get exposed to his music. Then "they" can decide if it sucks or not and move on :)

Same Deal with RockBand: Beatles. Everyone knows who the Beatles are, but not everyone has heard their music. Personally, i love going to random concerts and finding new bands, but since both before named bands are no more, Its nice to still get a taste of how awesome the concert would be :)

Im pretty sure that most of the NEGATIVE FEEDBACK is solely on the fact that you are pissed off that this is not on ROCK BAND, and instead on the "hated" Guitar Hero.

I like this idea, I mean I am sure Kurt would have liked this. More money. And even though Metallica cashed out on GH they did it honorably, with their good music (I still wish I could have had Damage inc though) and come on, if you like Nirvana stop whining.

Yes he did some of this for heroine, do you know why he started to take heroine in the first place? No you don't he had a condition with his stomach which was some kind of chronic stomach pain, he was always in pain every time everyday, so he went to doctor after doctor searching for a medicine that would treat it, and guess what, after six years of being messed up on various medications (these doctors were prescribing him some heavy hitting medication, and it would make him insanely depressed) he finally found one that calmed the pain to some extent and during all of that time the only thing that would take all of his pain away was heroine, even until today they still don't know the cause of his condition or what it even was. Check your facts before you speak haters, he revolutionized the music industry, and yes he did hate the album Nevermind because it brought attention to them, and yes he did sign the deal with the label, but he hated the album because it would attract fans that were only fans of smells like teen spirit, etc, he wanted his fans that were there since the beginning not there because of a single that hit the big time.
