MIA: PSN Thursday [update]

You know, we really think it's time you blow out the candle and get under the covers. It's really sweet and all of you to wait up for this week's PlayStation Store releases, but now that the sun has arisen -- it's Friday -- go get some rest. We'll wake you when the update does arrive. Don't worry. We're sure it just took a wrong turn down a tube or something.

The last and (by Twitter standards) now ancient update from Sony's account reads: "We are experiencing a delay w/ the normal PlayStation Store publish. Keep an eye on the PS Blog & Twitter for status on this week's update." But again, it's time to take your eye off the screen. Sweet dreams.

Don't expect anything, we Europeans have had triple the amount of problems North America has with its PSN and they just do nothing.

What do you think that they owe you for?

They owe me for missed sleep, Kleenex used for when I was crying and my Electricity bill for leaving my PS3 on all night, refreshing the store every 5 mins. :)

Remember when all of the Americans crushed the European servers because they just couldn't wait one day for the first CoD:WaW map pack to be released one day in America after Europe? Not to mention the corruption of the Gamescon videos just this week.

I'm not that worried about it, They are having a huge update on Tuesday so if I have to wait a little longer for my store update which will probably come out today I'm ok with that.

Is that the firmware update? I suppose it makes sense. To be honest I hadn't noticed as I am busy with Arkham Asylum.

3.0 comes out Tuesday, plus that home update I think

Yep I am patiently awaiting the big update! I am not at all upset that I have to wait a little bit longer for the PSN update either, it happens. I am with the Big Lozbowski on this one, time for some more Arkham Asylum 50 more Riddle's to go!

I was sort of bummed that the rock band tracks weren't up last night, but then I tried doing a search and they all showed up that way. I wouldn't be surprised if all of the new content is up but just not visible.

The sad part is that I was going buy something in the store this week. But now I'm waiting for the the store update in case of last minute discounts, or a new game I might want. The weekly update is supposed to be every Thursday not Friday or later.

Since you're not paying for it, you really don't have anything to bitch about. They get the updates out as they can. Delays happen and the world isn't a perfect place...

Dude who's bitching? I ain't mad at Sony. I just want this store update. Don't get me pissed off, I'm one of the few fanboys who doesn't care about in game chat.

By the way I've paid about $75-100 in the PSN store so don't come at me with that lame fanboy $hit. Like I don't have the right to complain even though I bought a $500 console. GTFO

@SonyHomie: STFU already! You are bitching! Try reading your post if you don't think so. This isn't LIVE. You didn't pay for a service with a hard scheduled update. Get over it, sit back and be patient. Your spending doesn't amount to much and it doesn't mean that you paid for the service.

Stop making excuses for Sony, like they can do know no wrong. I tell my friends that this isn't live too and you get what you pay for. But a PSN update is promised every week and they didn't come through(yet...). You acting like a bitch keep trying to argue with me, I don't see the point of this conversation. You wasting my time...

Don't worry I've spent more than that but I was just thinking off the top of my head. I forgot how much I wasted on Qore, but the PS1 classics are worth it.

if you got Qore I hope it was the year subscription and not the monthly fees....lol...that would be CRAZY

Dude, it's a fucking STORE. When they want to make money off your whine-y ass they'll put up the content. They don't promise anything. It's their content to sell you, and they don't owe you jack. So you've spent some money before on the store, whoop-dee-doo. You act like you didn't already get your $70-100 worth of content that you paid for. You got what you paid for, and that doesn't guarantee you anything beyond that.

The sense of entitlement some of you people have these days is absolutely ridiculous.

Dude I don't care. Evey one is entitled to their opinion so what if someone doesn't agree with you that's life. Just wanted to say that this is only time I went against Sony, everyone has their gripes that was mine. I know that Sony doesn't owe me anything but at times you wonder if they are paying attention. On a real note the PS3 is the only console for me but I just wish their twitter up date for this could have been bit more informative.

I looked in on the store about 4 times last night, then twice this morning. Since then I've been on yhe net to see if it was only me.

Jesus you people are crazy. Must you get your downloadable titles right this second? Do you have nothing else? I mean, I enjoy the PSN as much as everybody else, but when it comes out it comes out. Refreshing every five minutes isn't going to make that game/song/level be any more enjoyable.

I will gladly pay you Tuesday for some DLC today.

Wow, I didn't even realize the store wasn't updated. Then I realized I never checked it last week, so no wonder everything seemed new. Man, I'm losing it.

One slip doesn't constitute a degradation of the free service that they provide though.

The prob with many of the bratty whiners is that they have this VERY odd sense of entitlement TO EVERYTHING because to them, EVERYTHING has to work and be PERFECT TO THEIR LIKING!! It's sad but to be honest, it's not completely their fault. Parents create these monsters. I know cuz I was once one, too, but at least I had the wherewithall to grow out of it. Get a life. I never apologized I just said I overacted to this guy NOT you. I was kinda of mad when talking to this guy but he understood me to a point. You bitching now cause you took the time to call for help. I never wanted any firmware updates what's so wrong about that, I just wanted a PSN store. Man you ARE annoying.

I have no problem with the store not being uploaded on time; however, I do have a problem with Sony's lack of informing the gaming community of what is going on. Granted, they posted a twitter message (criptic at best) - but that was well late into the evening PST time. It would have been nice to have a message that indicated when they anticipate the store update to occur.

Both Jeff Rubenstein and Chris Morell apparently weren't in the office yesterday, so there was no one to do that job.

Y'all chill. It's not the end of the world.

and people wonder why we like 360's live service more.... not once have they missed an update.. not only are they on the correct days (which is a day earlier than psn) they also update at the same exact time every time, not a minute later. We better be getting something cool like a good ps1 classic game from capcom or square... geeze
