If you're looking to get downright chilly in Sony's upcoming Motorstorm: Arctic Edge, know that you won't have to sweat the summer heat much longer, because PlayStation Blog has confirmed that the PSP version of the game will slide into retail September 29 and become available as a PSP Go launch download on October 1. Both releases are priced at $39.99 and include 12 reversible tracks and eight vehicle classes.
If, however, you were hoping for yet another excuse not to upgrade your console hardware (but how can you resist?), you're going to have to a wait a bit longer for the PS2 version of Artic Edge, which will release "later this fall." The console port features everything in the PSP game, plus an old-school, in-your-face, split-screen multiplayer mode.

I still just don't understand why they expect me to pay full price for a downloaded game. They don't have to pay for the disc, packaging, the manual, or shipping, and yet they want me to pay $40 as if they did pay for all of that? For them to sell me on full downloadable games, they'll need to shave $5 or more off the price. I know the PSN costs money to run and operate, but putting a game on the PSN is not as pricey as sending it to my local Gamestop or Target, and the price should reflect that.

They're probably gonna include some kinda download incentive.

I agree Toadstool. If I can buy it on UMD for the same price, it's a no brainer for me.

I will never support this. I don't mind the odd map or two, maybe an extra downloadable mode, but a full game...I'll never support that. The only reason I can justify spending money on a game is because I can resell it and make most of that money back. If games became digital download only, I would stop playing games.

@kodros
"So, having fun playing a game isn't enough for you to buy a game eh? "
I don't think you understand the word justify. I buy the games because they are fun. but if they were downloadable only I wouldn't be able to afford it....with the amount of games I play. The way I figure it I'm losing between $4-$10 after buying used and selling it after a month or two. I think it's unbelievably stupid to buy a game for $60, stop playing it after a month, and then just letting it sit in your collection, which is exactly what downloading a digital copy represents.
I don't normally burn fifty dollar bills so I'm not going to let a fifty dollar game go to waste sitting on my shelf because there is a 3% chance I might want to play it 5 years from now. f that I'll sell it and move on to the next game that interests me.

Will definitly get this game. Will probably get PSP Go too if those damn PSN-cards will ever come to Sweden and not just GB, France, Germany etc just because Nordisk Film are a bunch of what we call "Jävla Höns" (Yeh-wlah Hens). Otherwise, it will go directly to my PSP-1004

This game is among my top reasons for wanting a psp. all of my favorite PS3 franchises (this, LBP, Resistance, Killzone, Metal Gear) are finding/have found their way to psp. if they found a way to put an Uncharted on psp... well, i just straight wouldn't be able to resist.
