JP US works just fine, as long as the host isn't running a thousand torrents for who-knows-what in the background. I play often with Japanese friends on CoD4 and, while some of them bitch about the lag, anyone that's played FPS's through the modem should be able to compensate for 100-200ms delays between shots fired and shots landing. Being at the right spot at the right time is the most important thing in these games anyway, and a .2s difference is fairly negligible unless you're in a melee encounter. I'm still amazed that some of them think I'm some god because playing w/ 4pins (green) or 2pins (yellow) makes little to no difference in my score.

Activision doesn't make any games that typically cater to the Japanese market. Unless they localize Guitar Hero for Japanese bands.

I can see Square doing this for the niche shooter market in Japan

The most I can tell is that it is a quote by Aeschylus.

Yes (well, literally it doesn't say 'battlefield' in this version, but leaving that aside) - but what I want to know is how the F did they come up with that transliteration for Aeschylus. Because I might not be entirely clear on how you pronounce the name but I'm certain it isn't like that.

I'd buy it. Soap, Roach, Mickey, and Cloud - it's like a metal supergroup.

And by metal I mean bullets, swords, and keyblades.

@Dark Wayne

I think CoD 1 and CoD 3 were released.
And CoD4 was released too. But after that,
Activision withdrew from the Japanese market.
Then Square-Enix came in to do the publishing in Japan.

BTWm, CoD5 wasn't released here.
Maybe its due to the set layout.
Because I think there are still people here who experienced the war and might bother those people. So for them, it might be hard to take CoD5 as just a game. (Just a guess.)

Maybe we should have Atlus and NIS publish Western games in Japan. They did a lot for RPGs fan in US. Maybe they should bring Western game in Japan as a returning favor. I could imagine Atlus bringing Bioshock 2 to Japan, and NIS bringing COD: World at war.

if Atlus bring Bioshock 2 to Japan, it would have the artbook with Little Sisters drawn in anime-design and I would joke: Monsters from Persona to make a appearance in Bioshock 2, confirmed.

If NIS bring World at war to Japan: Prinny and Etna to make a appearance in World at War, Confirmed.

When I accessed it, it said,

Actually for the last few years, recent FPS games has been gaining popularity in Japan. I think I recalled Left 4 Dead is getting a Platinum Collection (Japan's equivalent of US's Platinum Hits). Also Rainbow Six Vegas has earned both Platinum Collection and Playstation 3 the Best in Japan. Also, Grand Theft Auto 4 has gotten both Platinum Collection and Playstation 3 the Best.

Oh yeah. I remember now. We didn't get our AWESOME GH:JAPAN because Activision left us (in Japan). I remember being excited to play the drums of the great Yoshiki (X-Japan), only to be let down. Props to SE for picking this up. I have played with a lot of good cod4 players here in Japan. All on PS3 because the 360, as with it's younger brother, is still a running joke around Japan. Just wish that Activision would not have dropped GH:Japan.
