Tropico 3 elected to retail on Oct. 16, PC demo on Sept. 7

Tropico 3 will be available to potential El Presidentes on PC and Xbox 360 starting October 16th, mean la revolución did receive a slight delay from its original September commencement. While PC players can try a demo of the banana republic sim on September 7th, an Xbox 360 demo has not been announced.

Right, who's ready to practice rolling some serious cigars?

I still play Tropico 1 from time to time. Such a great game.

I'm excited for the sequel - I just hope it will run well on my machine.

Yeah I have Tropico 1 + the expansion still on my hard drive. Classic game...except for the damn rain patterns! Looking forward to this. It doesn't have to look like Crysis, just play well.

Gametrailers has a playthrough of the game. It's like a mixture of dictator/Sim City. Fun, if you ask me. This will be my first Tropico and it looks really good.

I'm pretty curious about this one, sounds interesting. I like how you have to pick 2 weaknesses for your dictator, like women or gambling, that directly affect the game.

I'm disappointed it got pushed back, but I'm really excited for this game. I've been replaying the original Tropico for a bit.

For those that haven't played the original, they re-released the original+expansion and Tropico 2 as Tropico Reloaded. It's $10 at Amazon, and I think $15 on Steam.
